bitsy - I used some glitter nail polish once and it was the worst decision ever - a complete pain to get off.
    I feel your pain.

Me too! Used glitter polish for New Year's Eve party! Had to top coat it twice to stop roughness and then when it came to removing it - well what a fight! Several nails had flaked chunks off after one day but the rest took ages, used lots of remover and got glitter everywhere!!

    Hi all,

We do seem a little quiet on here at the moment - hope everyone is just busy fabbing :)

Bitsy - hope you're feeling better and the snow has cleared a bit for hubby to travel safe. It must be a worry with him being so far away - if it's bad again next week if there anywhere he can stop down there? Obviously not ideal with not seeing him but if the roads are looking bad. Hope you get some house interest soon x

I feel your pain on glitter nail polish :rotfl:I have one that I will sometimes put a thin layer of over a coloured one, just to add a bit of sparkle if I'm going out, but even then it can be hard work to remove afterwards.

Snow has pretty much clearer, though someone told me this morning that apparently there's more forecast for weekend :( Not much to report on the fabbing front. Just realised yesterday that am going down for the wedding in a week and have nothing to wear and probably not any money to buy anything new! OH was moaning as well that he'd have to wear a suit and ended up snapping at him :o - guys just don't realise how easy they have it for 'dressy' wear :rotfl:He's out for a few hours filming tonight so think will take advantage of the house to myself and pull half the wardrobe out!
Hope everyone is having a good day x

Good Evening Everyone or seeing as I'm missing the sun "Buona Sera" :rotfl::rotfl:

Quiet day, had a nice fabbing session this morning, tackled my eyebrows, trimmed my fringe. Then went to visit OH.

Popped into Aldi for some fruit and veg. Bought some serums that were on offer. Worth a try - but not holding my breath - I don't expect miracles.

What I really need is a facelift. :o Or at least a couple of heavy duty facials.

Ah well. Apparently I'm "looking well" :D So I guess that will have to do.

Fab Friday tomorrow, get the glad rags on.

    Ciao. X

I've not been around much and am likely to be awol for the next few weeks, I've started a new job this week so very busy.

Fabbing is ticking over, new job means I'll be more active so will hopefully shift the lbs and tone up soon enough.

I can't wait to get out running again but I'm waiting for the snow to melt.

I've bought a click and lock box to take lunch to work to stop me from either spending too much or just eating junk so no more excuses for me.

My broken horrid nails are just starting to get some strength and length back so will start painting them again soon.

WI day today which meant 1lb dropped off leaving only 1lb to go and back to target weight where I was before that horrible virus and crimbo - thats my fabness for today!

    Oh yes, also this......

A colleague who works with me, who I don't see a great deal to talk to, while we were chatting thought I was waaaaay younger than I am and was very surprised when I told him. Now that was a fabulous surprise!

    Evening all!
Sorry I haven't been around much this week - bonkers at work again :o The course was on and so that was Tuesday wiped out as I had to do all the normal work at home in the evening, last night ended up being another work evening and there's been an inset night after school today. Will be glad to see the weekend!

Just had a bath and done a defuzz so look a bit better now and hope to get an early night in - not sleeping well this week due to being so busy and not being able to switch off so a full 6 hours would be bliss!

Hope everyone is OK and surviving the weather - due more snow here tomorrow, just in time for the flipping weekend:mad::mad::mad:

The snow may give you time to chill and relax WW :)

Well today I bought a Windsmoor tailored jacket in TK Maxx for.... wait for it £3. I know! Mad! They do have super mad sales (a few rails) from time to time. Now its navy which I've not worn much of recently and if you're not wearing it right can be frumpish. So I spotted a woman on the British Bake off thing wearing a jacket with a funky t-shirt so that sounds a good look. Just need the warmer weather to arrive!

I bought a jacket for £11 too which will be nice for dog walking in the warmer months.

Now the only thing is that for every item of clothing that comes in something must go out. One it, one out. So I will have to sort 2 items out. You can only wear so much stuff.

Personall fabbing front I'm struggling to find a decent shampoo for my thick/coarse hair. So I bought Pantone today. Not used it for years can't remember if my hair likes it. I tried using a chemical free one on it the other day and omg the frizziness went through the roof!

Not much decluttering but I did do the first half of paperwork sorting. Really hard work. I'm using quite cheap plastic flimsy wallets but once I've sorted the categories then I can buy some better quality ones. I also now have a to do file. Only promise is the only action I'm doing is putting stuff into it!

If anyone likes Nivea products B&M Barga*ns are doing a Nivea set with a full size shower cream, soap and pot of Nivea soft cream for £2.99. It's £4.99 in Home Bargains.

Dog walk done. All the snow has made the dog mad I think!

    Keep fabbing

    Good Morning

I have not been posting much as things here have been really tough and I have not felt fab at all. In fact I was starting to look washed out and haggard :( So yesterday I took myself in hand and put on a face mask, used a body scrub and a hair mask. Things may be difficult but looking grim is not going to make them any better ;)

This weekend I am going to take time to spend time with lovely people and doing things that make me happy.

  • Hope everyone's ok ((Hugs)) for those of you that aren't.

Have stepped up the fabbing a bit this week - bought myself a cheap electric toothbrush to try and minimise the times I need to see hygieniist a sit's between £25-£35 a go  and I just can't afford it. My teeth feel so much cleaner!
Also been carrying on with meditating etc. and re started the derma rollering - apparently need to do it everyday or every other day for 3 mths so will try and keep t up and see if it improves my skin.

Have put on 1llb so am going to have to watch that weight doesn't start to creep up again, I just feel hungry when its's cold though so am finding the fast days a bit difficult atm.

    Have agood day all.:)

  • Morning All,

Lizzie-I've been ordered by my dentist yesterday to get an electric toothbrush and see the hygienist (apparently to help with gums) as they bleed whenever I brush my teeth.

I'm trying to watch what I eat too as feeling bloated & fat, gone over 10stone which I'm not happy with! :( I swear what you eat affects your skin, mood and everything else.

On a mission to drink 2 litres of water today, off to blood donors later and if I'm dehydrated I suffer afterwards.

Anyway back to the temp job!

    Eh xx
