Its snowing again here! Quite a blizzard - it waited untill I got home from work and then started chucking it down - typical!

Going to have a quiet night in - don't want to go anywhere in this weather anyway.

Its been so busy lately that I'm looking forward to a bit of a rest tomorrow - but a woman's work is never done so the shopping, cleaning and laundry still need to be done :o
I'll do a bit of fabbing tonight - nice warm bath after the last dog walk, a scrub and a maybe a face mask. My nails also need a bit of attention so that's a job for when watching telly.

Hope everyone is well and staying warm and dry.
    xx

Amgoing to give myself a facial later as this weather is playng havoc with my skin and it's very dry just now.

I need Valium. My charming killer cat brought a live rat into our house and its been hiding in our bedroom. I need a lie down to recover.....

Bitsy -:eek: Hope all is ok now. Rats are my definite choice for Room 101. They make me shudder just to think of them.

Had a horrible headache today so I've just spent the evening on the sofa resting and dozing. Hope it's gone tomorrow - I definitely need to do some house fabbing. The place is a tip.

Snowing here again so it'll be an "at home" day tomorrow so hopefully can catch up then.

Hairy Dieters book arrived today. I also picked up a calorie counter book too. I really must make an effort - I feel like such a bloated lump. :o

Rummer - hope you feel better soon and that things ease off for you.

Mine - what fantastic bargains. We've got a nice new TK Maxx, in one of my "new" shopping areas near where I now live. Now that we are all settled in I'm enjoying re-discovering this side of the city. There's lots of different shopping areas for me to explore.:D

    G'night all. X
  • Hello, I,ve been painting and decorating so I've been so busy and feel very unfab and scruffy. My aim for this coming week are to give my nails some attention and not to eat so much! I've been scoffing biscuits like there is no tomorrow and yet I now I need to lose weight!
  • Hi fabulous ladies!
I have been feeling frumpy for a while - since I started putting on weight and bursting (literally, in the case of most of my trousers/ jeans :() out of my clothes.
Then throw in a bit of good old fashioned misery in the last six months (two miscarriages and a mortgage refusal - but yes, I know it could be a lot worse than that...) along with complacency, hopelessness, couldn'tbebothered-ness and debtbusting frugality and you get to where I was at the start of the new year.
I was never one to make much of an effort, but I never really needed to. I always had an easy type of glamour - youth, good hair, that I could just roll out of bed and toss up, reasonably good skin and nails, was slim, active, and a bit of a shopaholic!
But now at 33, I need to try a bit harder!
I've put on weight, which has made me unhappy and uncomfortable in myself - 11st 9.5 lbs on January 1st. My lowest adult weight was in 2005 (9st 4 lbs - age 26) and I would like to get back to 9st 10 ish.
I only defuzz underarms regularly, rarely use any product apart from facial wipes before bed and moisturiser in morning before makeup. I do wear makeup most days, but don't change it up for a nighttime look. I can't remember the last time I used anything other than a nail scissors on my claws, bothered tanning, wore jewellery apart from my wedding ring, used moisturiser on any part of me below my neck:eek:, tidied my eyebrows, bought clothes/shoes/handbags (have been using same handbag since honeymoon 17 months ago) or used a face/eye/hair mask. Sometimes I don't brush my teeth (shameful) and oftentimes I don't brush my hair at all - just throw it up in a bun. I never get enough sleep and look tired all the time. :(
My wardrobe is definitely stretched. I've been loathe to buy anything new since gaining weight, and have been trying to clear my debts so we can reapply for a mortgage again. But even the nice few bits I have left I haven't been looking after properly. My best 'good' coat smells of horse (have been wearing it mucking out ), and my working wardrobe (primary teacher) has been getting more and more casual. I just feel yucky in my clothes....
Anyway enough about me - clearly I need a massive kick up the bum.
I have started fabbing since the school term resumed. Just counting calories using MFP (sensible, healthy meals) and exercising, and have lost 5.5 lbs --> down to 11st 4lb!

So if you don't mind me joining the rest of you, I will keep my goals simple for the rest of this semester at fab school (somebody else on the thread used the phrase and I liked it and am robbing it! ;)):

    1. Continue healthy eating, using MFP to track calories.
    2. Continue exercising (3x walk/run for 45-60 mins plus the odd Shred workout)
    3. Take my daily vitamin supplements EVERY day.
    4. Gradually bring my weeknight bedtime back to before midnight.
    5. Apply bio-oil to scar EVERY night.
    6. Have hair highlighted (will have to budget hard!)

    Goals (by next weekend):

    1. Defuzz
    2. Have a bath (apart from on honeymoon I have made time for ONE bath in the last three years)
    3. Moisturise body once. :eek::eek::eek:
    4. Dig out a pair of earrings and wear them.

I'm sorry that this is such a LONG first post - promise they won't all be so me-me-me!
