Welcome Castle. You've found a safe zone here :A
Don't be too harsh on yourself. You've been through a lot so it's inevitable that things slip. Just start slow. Enjoy some small changes and work from there.
So how about a nighttime routine of brushing your hair. Have you got some hair products knocking around to use.
And a morning routine of caring for your teeth.
How does that sound? :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Morning All. This weekends fabbing plans are
1. Go for a swim
2. Have a walk Sat and Sun, weather permitting
3. Plan healthy meals. Get back to doing my Paul McKenna thing where I stop when full!!
4. Body scrub and moisturise.
5. Daily face cleanse, tone , moisturise. Have kept up the moisturising but have let the cleansing slip recently.
6. Take time out top relax away from the TV and computer. I have been feeling dreadful over the past week and really need to recharge.
Welcome to castlelough, I am sure you will find lots of friendly support on this thread. Best of luck with your fabbing.0 -
Good morning all
Was just going to read and catch up and then post later but just wanted to say Castle - Welcome to Fab School. We coined the phrase way back when. And .....we've had some very successful graduates.:D:D
So stay with the programme and you'll get there. It doesn't matter how long it takes - it's the journey that counts. You'll start to feel better and happier in no time.
Don't be too hard on yourself - you've had a rough time. Two miscarriages cannot be easy - the emotional fall out must be huge.
Tell me to mind my own - but have the medics investigated to find probable cause.
At any rate getting yourself healthy and happy - whether you try again or not - can only be of massive benefit to you.
As Mine says - you're in a safe place here. Take small steps. It might be worth starting with your sleep. Not getting enough sleep makes things so much harder.
Well - I've still got my headache.
They are really weird. They last about 48 hours and hit me around every 3 or 4 weeks or so. Now as you know I am of course past the meno but the headaches are definitely cyclical. Isn't that strange.
I always did have headaches with my period - I was rather hoping they would be a thing of the past once I reached the meno. Alas not to be.
Anyway like Allie has suggested - less computer screen time might be a good idea.
The sun is shining and last night's snow fall is starting to thaw. It looks very pretty, but given the headache I'm just going to take it easy. Just a bit of house fabbing and a general potter about.
Going to clear the snow out of the veg planter and plant all those tulips before they turn to mush. I know its very late. They should have been in the earth long before now. You never know we might still get a nice display, just maybe a few weeks late.
Then will take a good look at the Hairy Dieters book so I can get learning some new healthy recipes.
I'm getting in a bit of a rut foodwise - time to make some changes and shake things up.
Have a fab weekend.0 -
Welcome castle - just build up in baby steps and you'll get there.
Lots of snow here but very soft and thawing under the bright blue sky. This morning's dog walk took quite a bit longer as it was pretty deep. Came back to do Shred which went well and also took my measurements and I'm nearly back to where I was last year. 1 inch gone from my waist over the last 4 weeks and 4lbs gone too - yeah!
I'll be catching up on the housework this morning to fab the house up and make me feel a bit fabber too!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hello All,
Welcome Castle, you've come to the right place!
Just back from Aerobics, it was hard, but feeling a bit better now, been in an awful mood last couple days, looking at calendar thinks it the start of pmt week! So need to go easy on my self, healthy diet and relax!
Eh xx0 -
Hello all - especially Castle - welcome on board!
The snow settled last night and ended up being about 4 inches. The sun is out and its melting fast and is now a yukky mixture of sludge and ice - very slippery.
Managed to trudge around with the dog this morning for about 30 mins and will have to go again this afternoon - probably to the park, if he needs a bath afterwards its better than dicing with death on the pavements again.
Done the food shopping and been to the bank to pay in some cheques and to the library for some new books.
So all of the errands have been done and now its just house fabbing to go - will take some time though, it all looks a bit scruffy in the low winter sun.
I've been so busy lately that I've neglected myself a bit - need to rectify this over the weekend. I did have an unexpected compliment in Aldi of all places this morning though - I squeezed through between 2 trollies in a packed aisle and a lady said " wish I could do that, you so lovely and slim!". I don't think of myself as slim but I suppose I am compared with my previous weight - made my day! Little things really do make a difference!
Right, the hoover won't push itself unfortunately........0 -
:wave:you know I've gone into lurk mode recently but I'm still here. Welcome castle:)
Just wanted to offer some advice about the electric toothbrushes. My dentist told me I was overdoing it and it was bad for my rather weak/soft teeth. Recently he told me to go back to using one as (particularly) the small heads are really good for reaching difficult places. His advice was to hold the brush very delicately between your fingertips with hardly any pressure rather than grabbing it in a fist as this can give too harsh a brush. I thought it would particularly useful for EH with bleeding gums.0 -
Afternoon everyone
Well snow that was forecast never materialised thankfully so hoping the big thaw starts. Our road is like a sheet of glass to walk on, even Luna was slipping and sliding everywhere
Hands struggling with cold weather as are my feet. Gave tootsies a good going over with pumice stone and slathered on my hemp foot cream from the Body Shop.
Feeling quite energised for some reason  not quite feeling the queen of procrastination I normally do
Castle welcome to the thread

I've had a sulk all afternoon, given myself a bit of a talking to and got a grip!
I haven't been looking after myself very well for the past week or two and it feels like it. The poor weather has meant shorter dog walks, hardly any running and an excuse to not do very much. I was reading an article about exercise and it said if you have time to watch tv you have time to exercise. I have been incredibly busy with work but have managed a flop on the sofa from time to time too so I've really been kidding myself.
I know I need a rest every now and then (I forget that I'm 41 sometimes and not 25) but I now realise that being lazy has made me feel worse.
I done only the bare minimum in the way of fabbing too - blowdried hair and makeup on but no real care taken of me. Not drinking enough water, eating poor food and not enough sleep are also taking their toll.
So it stops now!
Tonight I have had a nice long bath, done a full moisturise and gradual tanning lotion (feeling very pale, dry and yukky), filed my nails and done a face scrub and cracked open a new tub of rich night cream (bought by mum as an Xmas pressie but still in the drawer).
I'm determined to do some exercise tomorrow - if the weather is ok I'll run, if not its swimming. Exercise really does make me feel better, physically and emotionally and does help me sleep. So why am I being so lazy!!!:o If I'm honest with myself its nearly 2 weeks since I did anything that got me out of breath - that's putting me in danger of slipping back into the bad old habits that I desperately worked hard to break.
Work won't get any better in the next few weeks so I'll just have to manage time better.
That's my rant over with - if you see me moping about kick me hard up the bum please!!0 -
Hi all
Massive fabbing for me today.
1. Got my haircut for first time in 18 months:eek: Got quite a bit of length taken off about 5", thinned and restyled. Still long enough to tie back for day to day but much neater.
2. Got my eyebrows waxed and tinted - not quite so long in between (3 months).
3. Bought myself some new bras and pants as I have a definate double chest in some. Chest hasn't quite shrunk back the full amount after bf DS2, so treated myself to three news ones to tide me over whilst I am losing weight.
Now just need to get my a** in gear and set about that deep cleansing that I have been promising myself for the past couple of weeks.0
