Lizzie - don't put up with any more crap from your H. Go find yourself a new man - one like my husband, a kind gentle considerate man who will love, cherish and adore you.

He's out there somewhere - just waiting for you. ;)

Where? Where are these mythical creatures? Can you get one in Burtons?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Only joking - I know plenty of women have had much better luck than me with the opposite sex - I'm just not one of them:rotfl:

Well today is my last day of indulgence and I will be back to healthier eating and possibly exercise as of tomorrow. I think I am going to miss my chocolate breakfasts :rotfl:

I have realised that I will need to sit and create proper meal plans to ensure that I have healthy food choices easily available and to also reduce our spiralling food costs  I think I will have a look at some of the big diet sites as they often have weekly plans that might give me some new food ideas. It feels as if we are stuck in a bit of a food rut.

Tonight I am going to organise the clothes we need for the week and get the packed lunches made before a wee pamper session and an early night with a good book ;) I think I might also look out the fitness DVDs that I have and an exercising outfit so that I have no excuses :rotfl:

It's a council property - I found out a few years ago that even though I have children he can't be made to leave without legal proceedings. The daft thing is he would be1)unable to afford the rent and 2) chances are they wouldn't let him stay as he would be underoccupied. I may not be able to stay either as DS3 won't be classed as dependent when he starts his apprenticeship. I've had my name down for another property for a few years but as it's now a points sytem I never get anywhere as I'm classed as adequately housed no matter what my personal circumstances. It just seems such a mess! Have a banging head now after a big row in which he has had both barrels but the bottom line is he cares more about himself than anyone else. I am going to contact women's aid and see how the land lies but can't say I'm hopeful. And have been told no one would want me either as I'm such a barrel of laughs I'd depress anyone!' Anyway bet everyone's sick of me - I certainly am so am going to stop posting about it and try and get my head together, and try and make 2013 the year for making some changes.

Don't you dare say we are sick of you Missy - that's your H getting into your head. Agree with Bitsy - no-one will want you indeed. Rubbish. That's just his poison getting to you.

Would a private rental cost an awful lot more than council. If it's just you would a small studio be big enough. When I first left my husband I did have a rent free flat for a short time when I was living in Scotland. When I returned to Derby I managed with a tiny studio - it was fine, my own little haven of peace and tranquilty.

How many children do you still have at home, what are their ages. I think speaking to someone like Women's Aid is an excellent idea, I'm sure they'll have experts who can guide you.

My friend is a volunteer and fund raiser for our local refuge - some of the stories.....

Women who, after yet another beating, have escaped barefoot and in their nighties in the dead of night, their terrified babies clinging to them.......I could cheerfully castrate and then throttle the men who do that to their women and children.:mad: and I'm a wishy washy liberal at heart.

Welcome Southernman - have you tried Pilates - makes muscles longer and leaner. Muffin tops usually respond well to exercise for the "Core" muscle group. Just google "Core Muscle" exercises and there's videos and tutorials and all sorts of info. Sometimes tweaking your diet can help with bloating and stubborn fat around the tummy and midriff area.

Any action on the house front Bitsy.?? Viewings might pick up soon now that the festivities are out of the way and the days get a bit lighter.

I'm just about to settle down with the "Sunday Times". Apparently there is a section entitled "25 ways to live longer". I'll pass on any good tips if there's anything interesting....

Just popping in briefly to say... LL I think you said you were after a pestle and mortar. I saw this online. Don't know if this is a reasonable price/quality or not but I thought I'd post it :)

Sorry for not checking in sooner. It sounds like everyone has had a great start to 2013! :j:beer:

WW I'm back at work tomorrow too! Done nowhere near as much work as I'd anticipated but I figure the kids need a relaxed and happy teacher to aid their learning!!

Fabbing day it has been brilliant I have cleaned the house, done 2 lots of laundry, my ironing, taken the car to get fabbed and they've made it smell all watermelony  I've just had a bath done leg shave, deep conditioner and just sorting my talons. Phewww no wonder I'm tired!

Good luck to everyone for their goals for this week :)

Just a wee question for those who exercise, how long did it take before you started to enjoy it? I am not a fan of it however I keep being told that eventually I will enjoy it and I am just curious as to how long that will take :rotfl:

:ALizzie - take one thing at a time. Looking at the whole thing can be daunting. Can you think about say 3 steps that you can do this week. One of those could be to do a wardrobe declutter. This will make you feel better. And if/when you need to move you'll have less stuff. Now from all the good advice above, and of course your gut instinct, what other baby steps can you take this week?
I see a therapist. It can come across as something pretentious to some people. But for me it's essential. You can get a referral to counselling via your GP.
So have a think about baby steps. Whether its look at this website or phone that person. Break it down into tiny steps.

;)So if WW's doggie poo didn't surpress my appetite (no offence meant WW I needed an anti-Nutella device!) well trying to sort fruit for tomorrow's lunchboxes has. I'm going to stop buying fruit/veg in a bag or net. An absolute rotten (black) orange in a net of others. Two pears (ironically...) stuck together rotten to the core... A real waste of money. Going to go back to picking out stuff individually and from the green grocers. Just had to chuck about £3/5 of stuff away. Dreadful :( A mixture from L%dl and a small supermarket. The 2 apples I bought the other day from the greengrocers are fine so apples it is.

Can't even blame hubby for not paying attention/checking stuff before buying as I'd selected some of them as well.

Anyway that's a silly rant :o I'm determined to eat better so obviously I need to take care in what I buy too.

For fear of coming across as some sort of Yoda type.... :rotfl:the exercise you do should be enjoyable as much as possible. What exercise are you doing?

Do. Or do not. Do not try. Yoda :)
