I have registered as an employer on it.

No checks were done - not even a phone call. I just did everything online. I have a job advertised - over 100 people have applied.

Good job I have no malevolent intent... can't say the same for others though.

Proof: short video showing me accessing my employer account.

!!!!!! Are you going to do anything with this like report it to the news? I know the news desk at Channel 4 love a good story like this and its totally shocking.

Can you see NI numbers and anything more than the persons address?

No you cant See NINOs because when jobseekers register to use the site it is not requested (oddly). Often employers ask for NINOs though before an offer of employment - or for other things like proof of eligibility to work in the UK. I could easily reply back to anyone and request a copy of a driving licence, passport, Birth Certificate - just like employment agencies do

I have got over 100 CVs of complete strangers though with names, addresses, referees, some with DOBs some with NINOs, some even have photos on.

I was expecting at least a phone call from the DWP to verify somehow ie send something on a business headed paper back to them.

Channel 4 already reported on this that was what inspired me to try it - the DWP spokesperson said they were doing manual checks now. The only thing that happened was I had to wait about 48 hours before the Ad became active - so I guess they have some people reading over the ads to see that they look kosher but that's about it.

Could someone repost the link because as a newbie I cant put normal links

Well checking if I was a registered company would only work for Plcs and Limited liability companies/partnerships.

As far as I know sole traders and partnerships don't need to register at companies house.

So I could be a sole trader but I would still have something to prove ID - something like a creditor invoice.

Even if i had no headed paper (someone like a market trader might not need their own notepaper) but every business would certainly have invoices.

Internet is widely available now, in library's, online centres and even at the jocentres so please don't use that as an excuse as to why people can't look for work.

I am not creating any impossible rules the rules and regulations are set by the government as stated before if you have an issue with the way the jobcentres are run then you need to take that up with the secatary of state for work and pensions not me.
answer this would you feel comfortable typing personal details on a computer that is available to the public?

how do you know that the person before you is not a script kiddy?

I 'apply' online all the time for jobs, all the NHS job site ones are like that, job centre plus has jobs where all you could do was phone th job centre.

I see nothing wrong in it, yes the name of the company would be nice.
I see a lot wrong with it for a start the person you sent your CV to can sell your personal details you will not know anything about it until you get 50 cold calls a day. End of the day it is your responsibility to keep your data safe, UJM has a disclaimer for this in their privacy statement

so if you hit apply your data could end up anywhere don't hit the apply button and receive a sanction eather way you are screwed

I would be surprised if the dmp are behind this to generate revenue without prosecution

Libraries are not a government service & not designed to provide sustained periods of job search, others places are limited or cost money.

You're following rules, Jobcentres are in chaos, with staff just like you implementing rules, yet you don't have a a clue.
I agree liberys are using windows xp which have had no security updates from microsoft for over 5 years, so it is bent over ready to be shafted
