It is, however, the police's job to investigate the collision. Maybe if the OP's mother called to say that she had been called "an effing pleb," she would have thirty officers camped on her doorstep for the next three weeks.

They've said they will investigate so I'm sure they will. However it's not an urgent case that should pull resources from other areas (like the pleb enquiry).

I Cannot understand that you are all still bleating on about this when it happend days ago !

Just how fast do you think think the driver was actually going in a PETROL STATION ???????

And just how many times have you nearly hit a person in a pertol staion from them not looking where they are going/ disabled / pensioner or some muppet on there phone or even worse ? Think about it and look next time you are filling up ( this is a regular occurance near misses & thats without the ones that actually collide ) Like someone said before that generation of person have the i am ok attitude make sure she gets checked out properly.

None. Nor have I ever seen anything like this. Perhaps you need to review your driving, and/or where you buy your petrol.

If you have a habit of experiencing near-misses on petrol station forecourts, I'd suggest you review the standards of your driving.

I think you will find that the police find the knocking over a person to be very serious indeed.

Which is why, two days later, they've still not done anything about it?

Who stood over mother whilst she did it, given that he apparently knows every word of the conversation?

Come on, keep up now! :p

Fast enough to kill someone in our local tesco a few years back. If I remember correctly the driver hit the accelerator instead of the brake and squashed a passing pedestrian against the wall of the shop. She didn't survive.

Clearly not the case in the OP's instance, but getting up enough speed in a petrol station to do someone a mischief is perfectly possible.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

You talk some rubbish. How much compo are you looking for?

My God, you just can't help being nasty, can you.
The max speed you'll get on a forecourt 1-2mph! Hardly knocking into the air speed.

Don't be so flippin' absurd. My old granny can walk faster than that and she's been dead for thirty years.
