Ah the madness ensues although its no different to say easter, bank holidays, people still insist on buying excess amount of food, enough food to feed quite alot of people. today was much busier than yesterday although I believe today is pension day so maybe thats why it was busy. We're almost done with regards to shopping, its just the veg we need to get.
Theres idiots that we all enconunter every day so what will happen in the few days leading up to the special day should be of no surprise.0 -

No it doesn't. It's already tomorrow in Australia, my brother lives there, and if the world had ended he would have rang me.0 -
I went to Aldi at 9am this morning and there was already mayhem. Luckily, most of the regulars are nice and polite, but there were a few harassed "yummy mummies" who raced round as if their behinds were on fire, knocking into a few pensioners. I wanted to do an announcement: There's enough food for everybody! Do not panic!"0

Every Xmas Eve, we always get customers that moan either for the lack of turkeys or that whats left are too large. Wel they had seven weeks to pre order their birds and able to spread the cost as had to pay £10 deposit.
My mum keeps her turkey in the cool box and replaces the ice packs 3 times a day. We never had food poisoning. Many people have these items at home.0 -
its a bit scary out there!!
I popped to alid when i was drving past and there was a woman who spent at least 20 minutes ecxamining every parsnip with her trolly accross the whole veg display. I grapped a bag then went back at the end of my shop to get the beans I had forgotten and she was still there!!
Waitrose was full of staff doing orders and blocking all the aisles with their big carts, i still have asda, morrisons and M&S to do on the way home as I have various vouchers for all of them. Wish me luck!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

This reminds me of my MIL. We went to the market, she bought some veg and paid for a cauliflower round the other side of his stall. We walked round and she inspected each and every cauli with a loud and derogatory comment until eventually the stall holder gave her back the 70p and told her to *** off.
aims for 2014 - grow more fruit and veg, declutter0 -
hardly anybody in either Sainsburys or Waitrose this afternoon - I was amazed at how quiet it was.
Calm before the storm probably!0 -
A few years back I went in Morrisons around 2 in the afternoon on 23rd December, never ever again! You would think the world was about to end and people were stockpiling. Every single till, the queue was from the till to the other end of the shop, I really don't know why to this day, I didn't just dump the trolley and go very early christmas eve, cause the times I have gone into a supermarket christmas eve, it hasn't been too bad, I think most have done their big shops by then and just go in for odds and ends.0
