    Hi guys,

Well, our mortgage is still going in the wrong direction and the OH is having his 13 week interview with the benefits guys. But he is having job interviews as well which is a good sign...

But, I finish my studies in September (last grant cheque end of Sept) and have a job to go to at the beginning of October! The pay will be enough that, even though I have to live away from home during the week, I'll be able to keep the house costs going and, if the OH pulls his spending to hardcore levels, we'll stay level on the mortgage.

TallGirl - I'll PM you in a week or so. Feel bad as we're going backwards at a rate of £1000/month (offset, so covers running costs) and pushing the total the wrong way. Hope the rest of the MFiTers don't mind too much :(

    MFiT-T4 Number 68
MFiT 4 Goal - Build up savings (SIPP, ISA etc.) to £250k . Current balance £174748 (1/8/16).
    Crazy goal - £500k by Jan 2026.

Well done to Mushy61, who is/was #38 in our list of challengers.

The closer we get to the finishing line more of us MFi3ers are reaching our targets EARLY.

Who would have thought at the start of the three years that we could be ahead of the targets we set ourselves?

I for one thought it was a bit much but didn't want to put too small a goal, and it's amazing what can happen with a little focus!

Congrats Mushy61, keep it up financialbliss, and good luck for your OH FreedomGirl!
There is a thread somewhere on here where everyone is trying to make some sort of overpayment on the mortgage - first time I ever called and had to queue and wondered if it was because of this?! lol
    Dream of being mortgage free....

Would be back on target by Dec and beat target by £1,600 if not for around 6k of expenditure in the pipeline . So, £4,400 to find.......

Off to check down side of settee

Well done mushygirl & good luck to OH FreedomGirl :T

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hi haven't posted on Moneysaving for a long time but just pm'd Tallgirl.

I'll be sort of cheating next week as I've just been given some money that my good old nan left me and will be using some to pay a bit more off. Should achieve what I set out to bring it down too with this one hit. Still intend paying my monthly exta though. Can never pay too much.
