Just tried to log onto internet banking to double check figures and it's down  so . . . here's my best update!
Ok so I failed to meet my targets this month . . .
Target 1- pay £1,000 off mortgage - actual £925.56
Target 2 - Keep spending below £1,400 - actual £1,533 (although this does include approx £70 of Megamoos expenses not yet paid back!)
Hmm . . . mused about what to do with this - after all it's a bit wierd to consider £925 off the mortgage as a FAILURE!
However decided that 36 months doesn't give much room for failure therefore should try to get back on track next month:
Therefore targets for next month are:
1 - Pay £1075 off mortgage
2 - Keep spending below £1,400 (We CAN do it!)
3 - Let 4th room in student house
4 - Get Megamoos expenses paid!
Anyway, will update sig and get myself an avatar asap!
Welcome to the newbies and good luck to everyone for the next month's challenge

Don't look at it as being a failure - you never know but next month you could far exceed it and even if you don't £925 off your mortgage is a fantastic achievement as it stands. Be very proud!

MMC we will have none of that failure talk in here
Look at it this way, rather than a £207 under achievement, to keep on track you need to increase your monthly target by £5.92:T

Thanks AnW'sMum and Lotta!
OK - will be more positive its just very easy to get blinded by the figures and forget the big picture - £925 off the mortgage :j
We will get there!
£925 is approx 8 months knocked off and over 3 years it's be approx £178 saved in interest. (I think!)
Feeling better already - just need to concentrate on different figures!
