  • the benchmark book should be part of your installation & servicing instruction book (which is a large book about 60 pages long) & is located just inside the back cover

I posed question that I thought you would have jumped at SG, ie, if like this you, or someone in your trade position where doing a straight forward boiler fit, how would you stage payments?

Just trying to ascertain if a reg plumber would normally take a deposit roughly covering the material cost, I would if I were in that position, certainly on delivery of the boiler???????
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

the way i personally work is that trust goes both ways, the customer trusts you to do a good professional job for the price you have said (providing you don't come across something unexpected) & I trust the customer to pay me, so i never take a deposit but my t&c's do make it clear that any materials remain my property until paid for in full, so on the last day of the job i already have my invoice ready, i make sure the customer is completely happy then i give them my invoice & i expect to be paid before i leave, it normally works fine although some people do try & drag out paying for a while
