New Vodafone price plans

Hi all,
bbb_uk
It looks as though you are correct, if you rarely use more than your monthly inclusive minutes then it certainly would not be worthwhile signing up for a new 18 month contract.
I am currently 6 months into a 12 month contract with Vodaphone and am not prepared to sign up for a further 18 month contract at this stage. It will probably be worth my while waiting to see what the other networks will offer in response to the new Vodaphone contracts.
I would, however, point out that I find the service provided by Vodaphone quite acceptable. Very few dropped calls; signal pretty good nearly everywhere (and I get to some very remote places during the course of my work); customer service just about acceptable, and free! (I think).
All in all, the best of a very bad bunch (IMHO).
I look forward to further posts regarding the new Vodaphone price plans.

My current Vodafone priceplan: 18 mth - Any 500 FWC + 1000Txt
If I want to have Stop the Clock, I have to lose my 1000 textsCalled customer services and got the guy on the other side to start the process, but it takes off my texts and replaces it with Stop the Clock
No Stop the Clock for me then0 -

Voda's new Stop the Clock is becoming more interesting with their get-out clauses. To me it seems that you can only use the stop the clock if you're on price plan where they already rob you (compared to other networks anyhow). Don't forget that 18month contracts are rip off anyhow as they're getting you for an extra 6 months, I just hope that the other networks don't follow them and changing their tariffs over to 18months (apart from t-mobile that already have some 18 month contracts).0 -
It seems that Vodafone cant do "18 mth - Any 500 FWC + 1000Txt + Stop the Clock"
I can change to "18 mth - Any 500 Stop the Clock", but that means I'll lose my texts, which I'd rather not
Only one thing to do then!....Get out an old dusty phone, slap in a PAYT SIM, and get Stop the Clock on it, along with the contract...0 -

Shame
Ah well, got the one person I spend 499 of my 500 minutes calling (the gf), to switch to Smartplus with Stop the Clock, that'll do me better0 -
You can add to ant existing tariff as long as it is not an off peak tariff. Vodafone no longer do off peak tariffs. I think stop the clock works out more expensive if you are an off peak user. An average of 4 calls a day, and you are looking at £40 a month not the £13.99 i currently pay0
