How have you lost £3000?0

Do not place any orders with this company !
We placed an order on their internet phone no. 3 weeks ago for 7 packs of Yale Oak Laminated Flooring which they said was being discontinued but they could find the 7 packs we needed which we took delivery of on 21/7/14 but as 2 packs were damaged they were taken back and I had to phone the 0121 359 0234 no. off the internet to get the packs replaced and after tracking down the delivery note myself from the carrier as they failed to do so, saying I should have had a copy given to me on delivery when in reality the carrier does not leave a copy, the office of Floors2Go finally conceded and said they would deliver 2 replacement packs last Monday. They never arrived, I have tried to contact both the number I originally placed the order with and the customer services which both go to mailbox which is full and tried to complete the customer complaint form on line which is a deleted document when trying to submit it. I contacted the local store who said they could do nothing as this item is no longer stocked and they could not replace the consignment without authorisation from the manager I placed the order with who has now disappeared into the ethos !!
I have emailed their address given on the internet site too but am not holding out any hope.
Has anyone had any luck with getting any refunds or satisfaction from this company or where in fact their head office has relocated to ?
I even tried the Logistical company ANBO International who said they would pass on my complaint to the Purchasing Dept. who should be able to help me but needless to say I got no response from them either.
I am at my wits end ! We are retired and cannot afford to lose £350 !0 -
I am in exactly the same position and owed several thousand by Floors2goneagain.
This is the third time that they have gone bump in almost as many years, owing millions to customers and suppliers.
The new company FTG retail sales is owned by the wife of the managing director of Anbo the apparent logistics company for them. No wonder they wont help you - they are the new owners!
You should keep pursuing your claim with them as they seem to have inherited all the stores and stock.
i read somewhere that some customers have simply gone into their store and taken the products - i am so frustrated that i am thinking of doing the same, though I am not sure as to whether I am allowed to do that without breaking the law? Does anyone know?0 -
JWhite and Simon69, how did you pay?
Hopefully by credit or debit card.
If so, read these two MSE articles:0 -

Yes I paid by credit card and will be looking at getting the money back if I get no satisfaction from my local store who are trying to source some replacements.0 -
If you purchased any product from Floors 2 go before 04th July 2014 the company was owned by Nixon and Hope, who have now gone into liquidation, the liquidation is being handled by MB Insolvency (just Google MB Insolvency to find the notice)
If you purchased after the 04th July the trading name is now Floors to go Ltd and/or F2G Retail Sales Ltd.
If you look at your credit card bill the sale will be listed as Anbo International, if you contact these people they will be able to credit your account but there will need to have been a refund request sent through from the store where you purchased the goods from - which should have been done when the return was made.
Contact details for Anbo International are Tel: 02380 333971 ask for Simone in accounts as she deals with all of the Floors to go refunds.0 -
I used Floors 2 Go Stretford branch in June this year to order some hardwood flooring for a house I was due to move into that month. I gave the chap he was assisting me in the store the exact dimensions of the room I wanted the flooring for and he advised 11 boxes which I purchased straight away, he also advised the type of beading that I should get from B&Q for that type of flooring as they didn't have it in stock and finished off by recommending a floor fitter who he said would do the job for £250 and who he put me in touch with. All perfect so far then the reality of their truly awful service as described in previous posts on this thread quickly kicked in. When the floor fitter came to quote for the job he told me I was 6 boxes short (about £400) and the beading I been told to purchase from B&Q was incorrect for that type of flooring. All he could say was that the sales person in the branch must have miss calculated the measurements and forgot that it’s different beading for hard wood flooring as opposed to laminate. He finally advised he charges £500 to fit the flooring not the £250 as previously quoted.
Thanks to the all round incompetence of the sales person in this store I had to pay an extra £900 more then I was originally charged and quoted and take back £40 worth of beading to B&Q because it was wrong. The floor fitter also insisted in being paid in cash and didn't provide a receipt on completion. It looks like a very cosy relationship between the store and floor fitter when they recommend him and he insists in being paid in cash without providing a receipt.0 -

Calculating the quantity of flooring required is very basic arithmetic, and for the guy to be over 50% out and you accepting it is as much a reflection on your incompetence as it is on his! You could also have found your own fitter.0 -

Bizarrely I am also fully aware I could have used another fitter but I was incredibly busy with work commitments at the time and was attempting to just get the flooring done as quickly as possible.
Thanks anyway for your irrelevant response and for pointing out the patently obvious. :T0 -
You would expect the sales guy to get it right but we can all make mistakes. I was merely pointing out that you had a responsibility to check what he told you. You gave him the dimensions so should have known what the area was. When he told you the number of boxes required it was a moments mental arithmetic for you.
If what I said was so patently obvious you shouldn't have got into the mess in the first place.0
