Thank You :TWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Another 1lb off even though I have been good this week, looks like it's going to be a slow climb (or decline ) for me, but its going in the right direction!
Keep up the good work everyone

hi all, hope its going well
thought i would let you know i have started doing 'no carbs after lunch' as recommended by an instructor at my gym as a quick way of loosing belly fat.
i lost 3.5lbs in the 1st week :j that is a lot for me as i only had around a stone to loose. i have found it very easy to stick to but then i dont snack on carbs and as i eat after the gym at 8pm i only eat small evening meals so dont really miss it. i imagine it would be different if i had my main meal much earlier.
im not sure if there is actually any science behind it or if it is just a way to reduce total calories (example is my stirfy- with noodles its 600c, without noodles and twice as much veg its only 300c). i googled it and its recommended in bob harpers (guy from biggest looser) book so i am getting that out the library to read up on. i have just cut out things in the 'carb' food group such as pasta, rice, potatoes and bread rather than analysing the starch content of everything as i couldnt be bothered but i am still seeing good results:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Hello ... well a quick check-in after SW again. Lost 2.5 tonight which has earned me my 1 stone award :j:j I need to keep doing this walking!
Worried about this week as a) I want pancakes next Tues and b) I am having 'afternoon tea' at a hotel with my mum on Fri (Christmas pressie so rude not to). Will be good the rest of the week in preparation... or at least hope to be.
Still nothing to report money-wise, all I can aim for at the minute is not putting any on cards. I nearly phoned to make a small payment e.g. £10 but want to wait until payday on 20th as daft to do so and then end up using cc to get through month... have BIG birthday night out a week on Thurs too  and need to indulge in a cheeky cocktail or two

Grrr, so p'd off this evening. DS3 won an award at school for being a star pupil, and the first I get to know about it is when I read it on FB - 8 hours after my ex had told her mates.
Her justification was "I didn't know til this morning that he'd won" (normally they tell the parents in advance so you can go along to assembly and see the award being presented), and then "well you couldn't have gone anyway, you were at work!"
Now as it happens, I couldn't have gone today, as I was on a training course, but on a normal workday I can often just go in late and make the hours up in the evening as long as I don't have any meetings. But that's not really the point. I'm his dad, and think I deserve the courtesy of being told when they've done something good. She's quick enough to phone me up when (usually DS2) has done something wrong and she wants me to tell him off!
Sorry, not really related to the thread at all, I just needed to rantDebt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
Karb, thats not good at all, how horrible of her. DS will know eventually though - dont worry about that, kids seem to have an amazing knack of picking up whats going on,even when it seems to adults that it cant be possible.Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0
