Hope you don't mind if I join you, and subscribe to the thread.

I've been single for just over a year, since my wife walked out and took the kids with her, having first had two affairs and also conned me out of at least £5,000 that I know of.

Since then, I've piled on the weight, as I've gone from being at home and being active with the kids to being at home with nothing much to do other than sit and eat and drink. I desperately need this to be the year that I sort out my weight, fitness and finances.

    Evening all

Well done on the weigh in rachyroo, if you manage to lose 1.5lbs a week you will hit target on 11/12/13!! :rotfl:

Welcome to the group Karb...I've added you to our first post...sorry to hear you've had such a rough time lately. Have you done your 1st weigh in of the year yet or do you have a date in mind to start?

I've volunteered to do overtime again this month...it's probably the last time it will be available for a while so I'm going to do as much as possible and put it all towards the overdraft .... it may wipe me out physically but my debt will have gone down :T

I've also had another NSD today so it's looking all good for now...fingers crossed this will continue

On the diet front I'm doing ok, went to the gym this morning and did 40 mins cardio..according to myfitnesspal I've another 568 cals to use up food wise but I've already had my tea and I'm stuffed so that aint going to happen...:rotfl:

Hope you're all doing ok and I'll catch up with you later x
  • God had another steak pie dinner today!!!

Not looking forward to being weighed on Saturday!

All my DD's came out today so I am 1 month closer to being debt free!

Hope you are all well & welcome to the newbies.

    Dxxx

Sorry, yes, I should have said. Weighed myself on 31 December as my starting point, and I intend to weigh each Monday morning.

  • 1st visit to gym for 2013 - done :j Exercise classes re-start again next week.

Food under control - still work in progress :(

Went into Lid! and managed to come out with only a loaf of bread which we need for DS's packed lunch tomorrow - walked past the danish pastries in the bakery!!!!

Doing big weekly shop at Mr. M's tomorrow so will be careful with the naughty stuff. All the xmas treats are slowly being replaced with healthy things. :)

    Good luck everyone

    Evening all!
Food has been going well this week - have stuck within the cals every day so far and exercised for 5 of the last 7 days. No excuse today though - just couldn't be ar*ed :D.

Been trying really hard to spend minimal money this week too - 11 days to go to pay day now.
Used up a load of nectar and boots points today to get a few toiletries in Boots and bits and pieces in Sanisburys so a frugal day but not a NSD. Will try harder tomorrow.
I'll be chuffed to bits if I can get to payday without going overdrawn (had loads of extra expenses this month). On the positive side, I paid off my sofas early using an extra £115 on top of the money saved up - wanted to do this before the interest free period ended and it officially turned into a debt. Almost £900 saved up of the £1000 they cost and an extra payment of £115 for me to add to the lbs saved of this challenge. :j:j
Its my weigh in day tomorrow and so will hopefully have a first loss for Jan to add too! Will sneak in tomorrow to report.

    WelshWoofer - Loss for Jan = 0lb, total loss = 0lb, £1's lost = £115
