I'd puzzled about that black shape above the plane until someone solved the plane and then I forgot about it. I can't recognise it as anything. The other things I've wondered about are the slightly odd chimneys under the hat (2 of them are brighter and irregular), the tiny letters and numbers on the lamppost under to the sea, but mainly the rope, which I don't think does feature in the original as has already been mentioned. It has a definite shape which I can't liken to anything specific. In particular there's a round shape hanging from it. I'm also coming round to Stargazing from Hunted. Plus you would think that Sky of Night would get a tribute if Patrick died before the drawing. I would imagine the artwork had already been done, which makes Stargazing more likely. Much as my growing preference for Bake Off over Hollyoaks it's no more than a hunch.

No, that's part of the plane's tail.

I still think the horns and sign are one clue. Jersey Shore was one of the first things I thought of, so I'm reluctant to part with it!

Is there a face (or something that looks like one) lurking to the left of the SATB banner in the shop (just above the clothes rail), or is desperation making me imagine things?!

Ahh yes! I see it now! Thank you! :T

This picture especially makes me see that it's the tail, it just looked at a such a peculiar angle to the plane that it didn't click that's what it was before!

Edit: You know I think that might be the exact picture they've used, just flipped over and twisted around? Certainly looks the same!

I'm convinced about Jersey Shore, I really don't see it being anything else, as it all looks like 1 clue. :D
How about the streetlamp?! (I'll be speculating about the snow next!)

The streetlamps look to be in the original picture :(

It's difficult to see whether they're on the original picture as when you zoom in it's quite blurry so I'll check whether the letters and chimneys are on the streetview page, if they are I think it rules them out.

Edit: Yes, they're on streetview, ugh, so annoying, where on earth is that 50th clue?! :rotfl: The main things that look different from streetview (but not likely to be clues?) are the wall and window above the 'By The Cell' shop, on streeview the wall is white and the window is a bay window like the others on the picture, and the roof above the middle of the 'Harbour Books' and 'Banks' shops, it's actually a triangular roof, not got the fancy curve like the one further back.

Unfortunately I think the rope is in the original picture, the ball of rope that sits infront of the jacket looks the same and you can see the lower part of the hanging bit too just about, the loop not so easy, but I think it's there. :(

I'm still torn over the Stargazing Live/Hunted one, I can see reasons for it being both, which is quite annoying as I can't decide! :rotfl:

I'm with you on the Great British Bake Off, I think it's much more likely to be that as they've put the berries on the picture too, you can tell it's holly just from the shape of the leaf but they wouldn't need the berries I don't think if they were just wanting us to get Hollyoaks? Maybe? :o
  • the holly is wooden - hollywood with berries, Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry = Great British Bake off.

Does anyone know what time the programme in "The Hour" was shown, I mean which hour are they talking about? Could that be the 6-7 O'clock. Or why would "Doomsday Preppers" be missing that hour?

I am not convinced that the rope in the SATB shop window IS there in the original. Take a look at this image where the neck of the coat has a line going through the dark part on the RT version but not on the original photo.

I think that's just image artifacts because of the poor resolution of a scan or compressing the image when adding to the copy.

    I think so too.

It just looks too blurry to be able to see the rope clearly to me in the original, there's definitely something there, but whether it's the rope is too difficult to tell, but I would think it must be. :)

Edit: When you look at the hanging bit for the light(?) on the ceiling, in the original it looks blurry and not as obvious, even though it's quite dark on a lighter colour, I think it's the same kind of thing with the rope but as there's not so much of a colour difference between the two things it's not showing up well at all.

I love the forensic analysis of photographs that's now taking place in a desperate attempt to find that last, elusive clue! I still can't see it either, although I'm sure we'll all kick ourselves when we finally see the answers.

For what it's worth, I'm sticking with Hunted, as I think the clue is too specific to simply be about stargazing. Also, as Cheship pointed out above, many of this year's answers appear to be similar to those of last year, and last year also featured a "constellation" (admittedly a made-up one) which was a clue to a non star-related programme (The Cube).

For similar reasons that's why I think the holly clue is more likely to be the Great British Bake-off (also one of last year's answers, with the clue in a very similar place).

I think the clock must be the Hour (same answer last year, clue in an almost identical location), and I believe Chrissytree is right to say that the Hour's fictional news programme is broadcast between 6 and 7pm.

Other than that, I've nothing to new to offer, I'm sad to say!

I'm stuck on 49. Or 48 if the 'to the coast' sign and horns are one clue.
