I've been trying this myself!
I didn't look at the answers posted here until I'd got as far as I possibly could as it's the one thing I really love to have a go at on my own each yearso looking at the answers other people have kind of ruins the fun, until you're totally stuck on something at which point you want to look and also share your own answers if you have anything different!
I've not got anything that hasn't already been mentioned at some point, I'm not really convinced by 'Stargazing LIVE' I think the clue is too specific being Orion or 'The Hunter', so I think I'm going with 'Hunted' myself unless anything else persuades me it's not that!
I managed to find the original picture and thought it might help?
I found it on my own by searching for 'Harbour Books' before I realised the site was mentioned on the left hand side margin of the quiz!! :rotfl:
It's here!
:j
Also I think maybe the Harbour Books sign was either left so people could find the original picture, or maybe because of the clue for 'The Paradise' as the poster is in that window and I think it was a programme adapted from a book? Maybe they thought leaving the bookshop would help with the clue?
Edit: Meant to say I'll PM a BG to get this moved back to the main board and a date added0 -
You can see last years answers here:

There are lots of similarities to this year, not only the show names but also the position of the clue in the image.0 -
I'm pretty sure that the blue arrow sign the to the sea sign and the horns are one clue and I'd definitely go with Jersey Shore as apparently (from Googling) all Jersey cows have horns so it makes a lot of sense to be that!
I'm really not sure about the clock - the programme that was mentioned earlier in the thread set in York with the doomsday clock was 'Eternal Law' (I loved that programme but it was cancelled after 1 series!) I still have them all on the Sky box so I'll go through and check to see if there's any clues in there at all!
The only other thing that I'd have expected to possibly be there that could be related to time is 'Once Upon a Time' but I can't see the clock clue being that unless I've missed something!0 -

Inside Cover (page 3 of 4) detail the constellations.
Although the image (of Orion the hunter)
does not 'exactly' match the clue given;
it's as close to "Stargazing LIVE" than Hunted (Hunter)bargainhuntergal wrote: »I've been trying this myself!

I see what you mean, very good spot! :T
I suppose as there's lots of stars in the sky on the quiz picture too that also could link to it being that!
I think it was just because they'd chosen to use Orion specifically that made me think that was a clue in itself, although I suppose they might have chosen that one because more people might recognise it than some of the other ones they could have used?0 -
Huge thanks to bargainhuntergal for discovering the original street view - it never occurred to me that this was based on a real street! The original street view rules out Harbour Books and the jacket/rope in the shop window as clues, which is a relief as I've been pulling my hair out about these. I also had a look on google street view and discovered that the brick red chimney stack is a real feature as well, so I don't think this can be a clue either.
The problem now is that I can only find 49 clues, unless the cow horns and "to the sea" sign are two seperate clues, as many have suggested. I'm not convinced that the open flat window is a clue, as this seems too vague. Could Titanic and the NSEW underneath be two clues? Again, seems unlikely, as they are both part of the same weathervane. I'm stumped!0 -
Here's a long shot - could O, P and W in the Blockbusters clue actually relate to something else? (probably not!)0
-
It might be nothing, or it might be related to the programme (I didn't watch it
) but above the plane - which I agree is most likely 'The Plane Crash' because the plane looks identical to the pictures I could find from the programme - there's a black sort of triangular shaped 'thing' - I say thing because I'm really not sure what it is tbh! - that looks like it's related to the plane clue as it has like a white trail going down to the plane?
Could it actually be a seperate clue? If not I'm really struggling to find clue number 50 too!0 -
No, that's part of the plane's tail.
I still think the horns and sign are one clue. Jersey Shore was one of the first things I thought of, so I'm reluctant to part with it!
Is there a face (or something that looks like one) lurking to the left of the SATB banner in the shop (just above the clothes rail), or is desperation making me imagine things?!0 -
How about the streetlamp?! (I'll be speculating about the snow next!)0
