I hope you are right, and I think it would be delightful if those happy to damage charities didn't get paid their fiver.
I also wish the same thing.
But I am also hoping that the charity CEO who can not spot this loophole should get sacked for incompetency and lack of up to date knowledge.
Same thing with politicians who deal with benefit seekers who approve that the unemployed benefit seeker get paid allowance more those who work for their life and contribute to the system.0 -
Charities shouldn't setup DDs that they don't, at least, break even on.
However, I fail to see the link between 'benefit seekers' and Reward Current accounts.I also wish the same thing.

Existing bills
Or charities...but for the whole fiver, or whatever the lowest DD 'tick box' is on the WaterAid/Macmillan websites (maybe £2 or £4 each?), rather than abusing them by suggesting 50p...and then thinking you'd make things right by adding another 12.5p Gift Aid!0 -
According to: http://www.fastpayltd.co.uk/downloads/services-prices, a direct debit can be done for 10p per collection, so it could be that a 50p direct debit is worthwhile for a charity.
If it isn't, I agree with others on here in hoping the charities spot their error and set a minimum amount (although it is bad design not to have set an appropriate minimum to begin with).0 -
Well im in the same position as a couple of others regarding santander acc.
I sent two forms off to them in the same envolope.
One DD has been taken out on the 14th from one account but the other hasnt appeared.
Im assuming they have made a mess! Might send another form.0 -

Isn't this part of the Post Office service promise?
"We promise not to have a clue. If we do something competently, we'll give you £20"... or something like that0 -
