Changes to Reward and Ultimate Reward Accounts

Well now, the BoS demands 1k a month to go through it. Yet the new rules for the Halifax accounts will only need £750 fed through them. I think I'll stick to 1k for the lot to save confusion.
However, the point I was trying to make was should we now fund these current accounts (I now have 10 within LBG) from outside their respective entities?...from outside LBG even?
I have enough current accounts (another 6 on top of the 10 mentioned above!) plus a few other savings accounts which would enable me to do that, but is it/will it be really necessary?0 -

I'm not touching my carefully architected (lol) £1K cycling scheme until I have to (by some T&C saying I must fund from an external source).0

I have a carefully crafted recycling scheme too, but it does involve external accounts.
Thank goodness for Faster Payments!0 -
May I ask, do you all set your cycling up with SO or by just doing it manually?0

I just do mine manually as only takes a minute plus I pay the £5s into a different account so transfer the £5s and the £1k in the same log on time.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

Why not have a standing order, e.g. from LLoyds on the 3rd of the month to your reward account for £1000 and just fast transfer it back on the same day?
It saves 15 seconds a month.0 -
Do you think they will mind if I continue to fund my 3 Reward accounts with their money?
I use the overdraft facility they provide on an ordinary current account (not reward) as the source of the the £1000+ transfer.
None of the accounts have any purpose except to provide the source of funding and to collect £15 a month.
I will set up the DDs to old egg accounts and Tesco.0 -
