I would be more than happy to donate 1p x 3 accounts to these guys,,,, will sleep soundly in the knowledge that it will cost them more than they receive

Bigots who accept DDs. Worth a 3rd DD (for 1p, this one) on all my accounts that need 2 DDs.

Tanks again to Dr_Cuckoo3 for the find. And thanks to Halifax, too

Exactly, 1p direct debit a month minus x amt to process direct debit = net loss to them

One slight problem with all these 1p charity direct debits - you're relying on the charity to actually take the 1p (because it's the recipient who instigates the payment).

If the charities get wise to this (which I'm sure they will), they'll simply not take the payments, and the direct debits will fail - along with the £5 from Halifax.

Doesn't seem like a very safe option to me.

They will be greatful if they get e.g. £1 (or what's left after DD charges) a month. And if you don't want to share your proceeds with a charity, there are plenty of other DD options where all the money stays firmly in your own pocket.

(Ab)using charities doesn't sit well with me, so...

£2.50 from each Reward account to Egg Savings
£2.50 from each Reward account to Tesco Internet Saver

Both set to 12th of the month (starting in February), just in case Halifax ever pay as late as the 10th which the T&Cs allow.

I'll collect my £180* once a year, rather than manually syphoning it off each month as I have done for the last 4 years.

    * The other £60 (on my 4th, main bills, Reward account) will just get 'absorbed'.

Do Tesco and egg allow DD's from more than one current account source for funding?

    Yup. :D

Now have 9 separate DDs set up with Tesco (6 for Vantage spread across 2 Tesco accounts, and 3 for Halifax Reward on the Internet Saver.

Re Egg, took all of 3 minutes to set up the 3 DDs on the YBS website.
