Yes you are lucky :xmassmile I would love to have family whose visits I enjoyed - it must be lovely.
But I feel very lucky to have kids, a husband and friends that I like and love so I'm lucky too....:snow_laug0 -

Unfortunately I have an unwelcome visitor but if I had dug my heels in and said no, the visitor would have been spending Christmas alone in a foreign country and OH would have been unhappy. So I'll be spending Christmas gritting my teeth.
It's just so difficult isn't it? - come on here and vent

OK they've been and gone but I can't put down to many details 'cos I don't want to be identified.
Some parts of the trip were enjoyable - some not so much. The bits that weren't so enjoyable were dealt with, with a smile (mine). Peace was maintained.
I have to say - this thread helped. I kept thinking of you guys egging me on not to allow the kids to trash my house (and things) so you gave the courage to just say calmly "please don't do that", etc ......and you gave me the courage to say it's time for you to go when they tried to extend their visit. Of course I said it in a polite and not hurtful way:)
Thanks for that.
Right. A few days of rest - then on to the next two challenges....0
