hope you have learned a lesson and that you no longer speed and no longer use your phone while driving, but somehow I doubt it
Given the OP has not once expressed remorce or shown in anyway they have learnt a lesson, simply coming on here to say how they have effectively "got away with it". I'd be inclined to agree. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -

That would be wishful thinking.
A guy on the verge of 12 points on his licence needs a little more than points and a fine to rehabilitate himself - a year on the bus would do the trick for most, unfortunately we have to wait a little longer until this guy learns. And hopefully in the meantime doesn't take some poor motorists life!0 -
All being a bit sanctimonious this afternoon chaps!0

once a to55er - always a to55er ! hope you get caught again soon and banned, folk like you make me sick.
That split second you were fiddling with your phone a kiddie strayed into the path of your car or a car from a side junction pulled out - the consequences of you not paying attention and being in full control of you car could have been far far worse.
Then you come on here bragging about how you LIED to the court... !!!!!!! eegit ! rant over
You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Careful what you say on forums, there have been a number of cases of folk getting the jail after admitting their demeanours online!

I have no idea why the police didn't submit any evidence as there is space on the back of the ticket for a written statement, however best practice is to type a full statement on normal statement paper and to submit that along with the ticket or summons paperwork.
I am really disappointed that someone has made a big error by either losing the statement or not writing one in the first place.0
