I have just signed the petition too, great work!

Does anyone have any legal friends/colleagues that can perhaps take a look at the FOS responses?

It's just, I can't see why I/we are having to prove that we had savings covering the excess amount over £25k for the FOS to believe that our choices in taking an unregulated loan would have been different.

I was very specific in asking the FOS if they felt that NRAM had breached the contract, as the document we all signed forms the contractual agreement for credit and NRAM not affording the CCA protections means they are not compling with the contract/terms. I wonder if the reason the FOS have not used any terminology like "breach of contract" is because perhaps there is a weakness in the entire argument. Would a court consider this to be a valid point? Would be good to see what a legal person thinks of the whole thing.

    Just signed the petition.

Just a thought, but it looks like a US based site. A better bet may be a UK based petition site like 38 Degrees who really like taking on big business and the Government.

Please visit the website and sign to show your support. By coming together as one, we will not be ignored.

This petition is for all NRAM customers with "Together Mortgages" and loans in excess of £25,000 who have received no financial redress for NRAMs incompetence with regards to the 1974 CCA. Even after seeking aid from the FOS and having 0% of our complaints upheld.

(won't let me post a link as I am a new user so please put www. in front of link)

My recent letter confiming my delinking from the secured loan still states that the unsecured loan (originally £30k) is covered by the 1974 act !
    What a joke !

Hey folks, glad to see the petition idea is gathering momentum, although the American one already setup I doubt will get to reach the correct people so could someone set one up here please?

As a new user I cannot post links so can somebody cut and paste this please?

When set up it should go right to Her Majesty's Treasury who are responsible now for righting the shonky NRAM and FOS stalling and claptrap.

I am looking to shed light on this via large media contacts and continuing with legal council shortly, I will keep you posted.
  • I see Watchdog have done a piece on how the FOS are good at sorting out financial complaints tonight. Does anyone reckon this is a set up due to what's going on with NRAM?

So FOS have admitted that they have breached principals of business? Do you think it would be worth putting a letter together to Martin Wheatley who heads the FCA. They are not a consumer body as such but they seem to have an appetite for sorting out the industry.
