My wife's ex husband declared himself bankrupt leaving all the debts to my wife. i bought his 50% from his insolvency officer for £1. there was £30k of unsecured debt to clear. i believe since 2006 when it was taken out that it's now down to £28k. Clearing a large chunk of that off will help us sell that property to finally banish the remaining memories of that man.

  • What irritates me is that behind closed doors it will be known whether this decision will be made end of July or not until end of October, bur they will not be upfront about that!

Yep... my ex gets out of paying anything because he is self employed, and therefore they cannot force him to pay anything, as there is no way of proving what he earns! The fact he lives in a 4 bed semi, with luxuries such as power boats and Porsches seems irrelevant to NRAM!!
I just want this over with, I want him out of my life! Is bad enough seeing him working locally, knowing how much he IS earning from it all!!

Could they know by this month, but hold back and not say anything until October? Just to drag it out yet another year?

Not listed for hand-down this week, assuming I am looking in the right place.

Hi Fermi, I believe the cause list is issued around 2.30pm each day for the preceding day and beyond. It is subject to change and can be amended up until 4.30pm. So I wouldn't totally rule out this week or next, but who knows?!

It's so sad to see that we're all still bloody struggling because of them, it really annoys me. None of us can get on with our lives, it's like Groundhog Day! I'm so cross that they've been allowed to string it out so long, knowing that either way really, they were in the wrong all along. Someone must have known about this for years and said nothing, thinking they could brush it under the carpet. I think they should be made to pay us all back from day one, put us where we should have been should we have never borrowed from them, maybe then we could pretend it was all a bad dream! The thing is, I'm pretty sure none of us are multi millionaires, so this is money we could pay towards getting our lives back on track. 10 years we've had with Northern Rock/nram, 10 miserable years we won't ever get back. I sincerely hope the judges are reading these posts and see what misery they have caused to all of us, house losses, break-ups, illness, sleepless nights, constant worry, breakdowns, it just goes on. Make it right judges, there's only you can help us end this nightmare, make them pay for what they've done!
