Northern rock loan over £25,000

Keg, I agree, if they have it on record, but they certainly couldn't find anything on mine when I called.
Will let you all know what my copy of the loan agreement says.
Not sure why a home improvements loan wouldn't qualify? Can anyone shed some light!0 -
Kaybo and Keg, I believe this to only apply to the under 25k loans which had a totally different reason for redress. This was it failed to state the amount borrowed on statements! Not directly connected to whether it was CCA regulated or not as in our case.
The giveaway is that is in the under 25k area of the website and it mentions the 2 lots of redress those affected have been granted.
This is just my assumption and I'll fight it tooth and nail if NRAM try the tactic with me. Surely the fact they've written to those affected is admitting liability? What you've had the money for is immaterial.0 -
Thanks Big, they haven't written to us. Do you mean informing everyone on their website ?0

Just keeping my eye on the latest. I sent my letter of response to my contact at NRAM as he keeps asking me to show how I was "FORCED" into signing the loan agreement.
Its not about being forced into anything, its about being told if I sign it I'm covered by CCA, when actually I'm not!
We will see what his response is. Interested in what the trial results are too!!0 -
Good evening.
I've just come across this thread as I was searching for somethng to do with NRAM. My Together Mortgage's unsecured loan of 30k has been an issue for me and NRAM I feel, had contributed to this however indirectly. One of their actions has resulted in a major shift in my life. If I've known earlier, I would have joined in a lot sooner.
This is the first time I've heard of this issue and considering I fit all the criteria this ruling applies to, I will also look forward to finding what the outcome is.0 -
It's a fantastic feeling when you find so many people in a similar situation. A problem shared is a problem halved with another 40,000 people, albeit !!!
Just want the decision now !!!0 -
It'll be good to finally understand our position once and for all.
The original case NRAM brought was on 18 November with the ruling on 10 December.
I would hope a decision for us is just round the corner.0 -

Hi
I've just been onto the NRAM website as I have absolutely no idea how much I still owe on my together unsecured loan.
Am very confused by who actually owns my loan now as it seems to imply the loans were sold off either to Marlin or to One SAvings??
Should I be receiving an annual statement with what is owing?
Who should I contact to find out who is dealing with my loan ( the direct debit just says its NRAM)Thanks to all who post here:beer:0 -
Hope it hasn't been posted already, but here's a bit more info about what happened in court

Someone brighter than me might be able to pick a bone or two out of it.
