Hello
Anyone have any further news on the case? I would imagine it will be announced after the election but just checking in.
Thanks

That "victory" that Roy Forsdick was announcing looks like it was only this "NRAM were ordered by court to pay for transcripts of recent appeal hearing and publish to their website"
And still we wait.0 -
I presume the judge basically wants full accountability so there's no suggestion of a cover-up whichever way it goes.0

NRAM have an added section on their website now -
The NRAM Board, after considering legal advice and the implications for both customers and taxpayers, decided to pursue an appeal which was heard by the Court of Appeal on 27 / 28 April 2015. We cannot be certain when we will know the outcome, but would expect it to be before the end of July 2015.
When then this process is complete and we have determined the appropriate course of action, if required, we will communicate with any affected customers to outline next steps and confirm any actions we are taking.
We will publish the appeal hearing transcripts here once they become available from the Court of Appeal.
There is no need for customers to contact us, or anyone else about this issue.
Which we already know !0 -
Wonder if we'll hear something today with the election out the way? I can't stand to wait until July..0

Hi, has anyone any ideas regarding how relevant the outcome of election is, if at all to our situation ? There has been a couple of comments referring to it but I'm unsure whether it would have any implications at all ?0
-
I think it was just a theory. Whether there is anything to it or not, we will never know.
I don't think who is in power will matter to be honest.
If NRAM get their way - conspiracy theories galore.
If they don't - the government will no doubt just file it in the same place as all the bad debt and poor performances of the other banks they own.0 -
On the website it states that loans for home improvements are outside of scope.
I called NRAM today to ask to remind me what I said the purpose of my loan was and they had no record of it. They are sending me the original loan agreement and also suggested it may be in the deeds but that would be £20 to obtain.

Im assuming that a loan for £25,500 marked as 'only sign here if you agree to be bound by cca etc' all over it falls within the actually not covered loans - as thinking they might try and wiggle out of it if it was only over by £5000
-
Kaybo -I can imagine that many borrowers said the loan was for home improvements, it's almost a standard response ! Ugh, this will be a big issue for many I'm sure :-/0
