Another NSD to day! I've a Chicken Curry to make for dinner tonight and that's probably about it for today.

Lots of weather warnings appearing folks, so I guess we'll need to be stocked up and ready. Keep warm, safe & well everyone.

Really pleased with my shop - £1.99 at Al*i on 9x toilet roll, £3.67 at Li*l on mince, ham and bread flour.

£29.84 at MrA including bread, milk, coffee, biscuits, yoghurt, freezer meats, fruit & veg etc etc - should see us through the snow and all next week.

Technically £200 still do-able but not going to push it too hard!!

Not opened them yet but they feel quite nice through the packet - the rolls don't appear to be any smaller or lighter that the "good ones" so I am hopeful - they are Saxon brand 1.99 for 9 rolls.
    Fingers crossed!!!!!

A!di, local greengrocers and B&M this morning and have spent £32.84 in total.
This includes toilet rolls, kitchen roll, eggs, juice, bread, fish, lamb mince, cheese, a bottle of wine, butter and tons of fruit & veg. If I have worked it out correctly 35% of the total spends so far has been on fresh fruit & veg. Fairly happy with that so far plus we also buy some frozen veg as well mainly sweetcorn, peas, broad beans when we can get them and diced swede - we pay the same per kg for the swede which comes peeled and diced as we do for a swede that has just had the soil knocked off. :)

No milk in our local A!di so if daughter goes on Saturday will ask her to pick some up, we do have enough in for a week if we are careful though so not too big a problem and I think there is some powdered milk in which is ok for custard, sauces or milky drinks just not for drinking on its own.

Silently screaming as have just spent €107.08 between Aldi and Lidl....took my eye off the ball and OH must have been hiding things in trolley as didn't realise what was there until I came home...so am not going near a shop again until 1st Feb...have a few cents in a jar which will look after milk if we need it...am so mad at myself! Just shows how easy it is to get into a mess.

  • No grocery spends today, though still an expensive day. Ink for the printer (the joys of Uni), petrol and a car wash (MOT tomorrow, at which am going to get a big list of repairs :( ). Had a look in the reduced section of Mr T while was in there. No more than 30c off anything under a fiver.
