we are having the left over pork from yesterday mixed in stock with a variety of dried beans so its like a pork and bean cassulet type of thing. tasty and very filling can put other bits in as well depending on what needs using up. beans are in soak will finish when I've finished work.
You can if you think you can .

A well on the way to making my 2nd '30 day meal plan'.

I also want to start on a quick and easy pudding selection of recipes.

We don't usually eat puddings, but i think it might help DS cut down on the snacking in the evening/night.

    Congratulations Bluegreen

It`s very pretty here as the snows laid last night so hoping for a NSD today;).

We`ll be having curry tonight from yesterdays leftover lamb and i`ll make a HM soup for lunch from the veg my in-laws brought around yesterday. So fingers crossed I shouldn`t need anything today.

I did the price promise last night on MrT website and a good job I kept my receipts as i`ve now got a voucher for 89p:D.

    Good morning, peeps :)

Gnna be making mango chutney this morning as I got a mango box for 57p with a fair few mangoes in it :)

Ham with potatoes and salad for dinner today.
I will then freeze the rest of the ham for sandwiches.

I'm gonna seperate the fat from the stock and use the stock as a soup base tomorrow.

Not planning on spending today but I do need milk so I may go at whoopsy time perhaps.

Have a frugaltastic day, peeps :)

Spent £11.84 yesterday, which puts us over our planned January budget, but it's still under the 50/month that we usually budget.

I'm still working on putting all of the 2012 receipts into the spreadsheet to see how our grocery spending has fluctuated. I'll be keeping up with the receipts better in 2013 so I won't need to scramble and put them in next year to see how we did. This year we are saving for my IRL, so anything I can keep from spending on groceries goes into savings for that. :)

    Not a great weekend,
just to remind people who are interested (and those who aren't) my save is all to do with money that my wife and I use for entertainment.

Friday night we went out to the local and had three rounds of drinks when we weren't planning on going out which came to £21.

Saturday was a NS day so did well there.

Yesterday however was not good, it never was Liverpool United I was either going to drink to celebrate or commiserate, unfortunately it was the latter and I ended up spending £20

All in all for the week because today will be another none spend day I have spent under a quarter of the budget of £50 a week. Will update my sig. Hopefully next weekend should be nothing spent.
  • Good morning All, it's a snowy one here today but luckily the roads are clear.

Congratulations Bluegreen on your engagement :j

I have had my results from Mr Ts Price Promise and am now the proud owner of a 91p voucher :D Thank you to the other posters for making me feel better that I'm not the only one who was missing out and well done to you too SavvyMummy on your voucher.

Another :D as I didn't have to pop out yesterday for pudding (preserved my NSD). Managed to find a small double choc gateau and a box of profiterole bites in the freezer. Also chopped up a melon from the fridge and pulled out some raspberry ripple ice-cream ....... the kids didn't seem to mind one bit lol.

Meals planned for the rest of the week but have been inspired by all the meal ideas on here. I too have become stuck in a bit of a 'meal rut' so hopefully I might start getting experimental :rotfl:

No need to update my sig at the moment but will catch up with you all soon.
