They will eat anything and everything, so all suggestions welcome
Twinks hobnobs (recipe in the index on page 1) are fabulous and can be made with value oats. I've not met anyone that didn't like them yet. Make your own scotch pancakes, that's easy to do and cheaper than buying them too. Was it on here or on the hard times thread (no memory sorry) that I read that if you make sausage rolls using cheap hotdogs it changes the texture of the hotdogs and they taste lovely?
I make ordinary fairy cakes too, they're quick and easy to make.0 -

Hi everyone,
Spent a bit of money at co op last night on some lunchbox food and a couple of YS items and today I bought some double cream and paid my mum back for a few pounds she lent me for a takeawa(£3.30). Will add it all up and update my sig in the morning.
I've come up with a bit of a meal plan for this week, trying to use up some stuff from the freezer....
Monday - HM Pea and Ham soup - using up gammon from xmas!
Tuesday - LO Pea and Ham Soup
Wednesday - Roast Turkey Dinner - using up xmas turkey!
Thursday - Turkey and Vegetable Soup
Friday - Chicken stuffed with goats cheese/mozzarella, wrapped in parma ham, tomato sauce, crispy potato cubes, salad/veggies
Saturday - HM pizza for me, HM donner meat in pittas for OH
Sunday - LO donner meat or chicken kebabs with lots of salad!
So I need to buy...
Chicken from Makro
Veg - carrots, swede, green beans, potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers
Parma Ham
Goats Cheese
Grated Mozzarella
Lamb Mince
Onion Powder
So quite a lotbut the food should be yummy!

Congrats on the engagement! Nothing as exciting for me to post, just updated my sig as we did the weekly Aldi shop today - came in at £40.52, which is about normal and as long as we don't spend to much through the week I am still on target for the month, I think (first time I've counted it all up though, so we'll see!). I had a list, which always helps, but bought a few extras as butternut squashes were on the Super 6, and I had the urge to stockpile yoghurts. I think cos DC 1+2 are on packed lunches I go a bit crazy on yoghurts / fruit etc. so there's enough in, but if they were on school dinners I'd be spending £15 a week and I do it for a lot less than that!!!
Hope everyone has had a good weekend and is raring to go for Monday, everyone's favourite day of the week, lol!
p.s. I hadn't even thought about how many "weeks" were in the month when planning my budget. Luckily it seems to be working out, but people on here have been very helpful and I will be more mindful in Feb as we always do weekly shop at weekend and there could be more / less of those so I guess my budget should vary month to month? Or am better setting a constant one and just using storecupboards / freezer / planning to accommodate the extra / fewer days? Would love some advice!June GC 21st May - 20th June (£78/£200)0
