Kitchenbunny wrote: »Evening, everyone - happy to report an NSD chez Kitchenbunny today, for which I'm eternally grateful! Hopefully tomorrow will be too. Just made a lovely Chicken and Bacon Lasagne for tea with another portion to freeze. Mealplan is all prepped for next week and will go through the cupboards tomorrow to make sure there's nothing else to add to the shopping list. Looking forward to a less-spendy next week!
Have a lovely evening, everyone.

Is there any chance of the recipe for the chicken and bacon lasagne kitchenbunny? Please?

Had a busy day and ended up waiting to pick my son up and wondering round Mr T's .
I did spend £8-91
The most I've spent in one day since doing GC-
But I did buy some bulbs ( the flowering kind ) and have included that in my GC total (£3 ). -
There was a lady in there and had a trolley full and it was all 'yellow label '. - I was impressed as I had a few bargains but I have never seen anything like this !
I know a member a staff there and she said the lady spends hours in there each sat night and keeps taking the goods back each half hour to see if they have been reduced more! I really don't know if I admire this lady or think she's crackers for spending each sat night in Mr T's?

Spent £3.48 in MrA today. Didn't go in for food but there were a couple of things on my shopping list for Monday that were on offer so it made sense to buy them while I was in there.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0

oh my goodness that is dedication for you! Its true the bargains you get at night are crazy but to do it every week....?! Not for me I'm afraid  Well I did our weekly shop today, £10.56 in Mr T's and £8.10 in L*dls so another £18.66 to add to my total for the month. I gotta say i feel like i'm struggling....its only the 12th?! But I have been building up pretty good stores and freezer good so hopefully I can get some good meals from that towards the end of the month and only really need fresh things. Off to update my sig. Well done everyone, love reading your progress!! Oh and I would also love the chicken and bacon lasagne recipe pretty please - sounds yummy!0

Mr T usually have £10 off first £50 shop vouchers all over the place! If you check out topcashback I think you get £5 cash back too. I have always selected no substitutes as I don't like the idea of getting something I haven't chosen!
I usually allow them to substitute although its very rare for them to have to. A lot of the time they give you something better than you ordered but have to give it to you for the same price as what you ordered so I have had some pretty good deals over the years. But its dead easy if you dont like the subs as the driver will just take it back and its refunded that day.
This is Tesco's and I can highly recommend them for on line shop.Home Schooling mum budgeting for 2 adults, 2 teens, 2 little ones & 3 cats

Please may I join the January challenge? It's a five week month for me. I'm new to this. I started simply by recording what I spent all the way through December. I didn't try to save or change my behaviour at all then. I simply wrote it ALL down.
Based on that I'd like to aim for £60 per week. So far I've done 3 weekly shops and spent £155 out of £180.Grocery Challenge January 2013 282/300

I have just worked out that on a per diem basis I am over budget already for the year. However I did an emergency shop yesterday for fresh bits in case we get snow, and although I am within walking distance of the shops I would find it hard to carry it home in bad weather. I have just been watching a TV programme on the 50 top health hazards and I was amazed how little nutrition is in our diet compared to the last century. We would have to eat 10 times as much to get the same nutrients. And yet we are living longer?Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Earlier today (saturday...i havent gone asleep yet!) i placed an online order for groceries. Actually a lot of the stuff i ordered is cereal bars and snacks for DS. I just can not make the stuff in the quantitites he desires to eat them. Cakes and biscuits disappear ....DD and DS demolish everything even if i hide stuff. This stuff is going to get locked in a cabinet i have. Since there is only 1 key they will only be able to eat what extras i agree for the, to have.
Online order came to £32.87. Will go and add it to my grocery figure in my sig.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
