I'm with you. There's a spreadsheet for everything!:D
I am going to go way over on my GC but I am still happy! I bought a big treat shop between Christmas & New year just for the hell of it & decided to be good & include that! Since then I have been really good.
On Monday I spent ages producing a meal plan for breakfast, lunch & dinner for the rest of the month (on a spreadsheet) made a bit more difficult because I loosely follow the Slimming World Extra Easy plan. Anyway, the last 2 Friday shops have been planned & controlled! :A
What I tend to do is make my list on the T*sco app on my phone, aiming to come in around budget. I then go to Ald1 to do the shop. As I go round the shop, I keep a note of how much I've saved on each item, by buying it in Ald1 rather then Mr T. Then at the end of the shop, when I know how much I've saved, I grab some extra items to take me to my budget amount or buy a bottle of wine or something! Good afternoon everyone
Haven't posted on here for a while, mixture of 'flu bug', back to work and kids back to school.
Anyway update as follows, a further £101.52 spent made up of weekly shop at Mr Ts and bits and bobs picked up here and there. After reading this thread i ventured into £shop, I didn't realise they sold so much food/drink in there! Picked up x3 kitchen rolls for £1 (obviously) instead of £1.07 for two in Mr Ts. :j
So my running total is now £238.52 of £400. Slightly over budget for the month but have OH children staying this weekend so extras were needed.Sealed Pot Challenge 6 - Member 1938

Update for me is this
Decided as its a 5 week month for me to have £140 out of the yearly total and so far on £107 for the month which equates at £35 per week and leaves me £16.50 for the next 2 weeks to come in on budget. The freezer has plenty in so I'll be continuing to work my way through what's in there.
This week I used up some chicken legs in there in a lovely chicken stew and will be doing this one again before the end of the month to use up some drumsticks and thighsfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

found myself mentally panic shopping for the snow that is rumoured to be heading our way. A quick look through the bulging cupboards brought me back to earth and made me realise how silly I was being
I will plan more than a week's worth of meals and buy any extras needed for those meals. If they aren't needed I can roll them over to next week's meal plan. I will also buy a carton or two of UHT and a loaf for the freezer. But I will not shop like the apocalypse is coming. We have a tesco express just down the road if we were really desperate. I'm not going to blow my budget for something that may not even happen!know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0
