Careful though, the 'chicken style pieces' are only on offer on the 500g bags and in my local store they were mixed in with the 300g. Cheeky.
I spotted that as well! To add to the confusion there are currently two offers on quorn at my local Mr T. One is on the fillets and the 300g bags of chicken pieces - two for €4. The other is the 500g bags of pieces for €2.50 each. You wouldn't want to be in a rush :rotfl:

Yes, i bought lots of quorn from mr T last week. It pays to check the end freezer aisle as well as the main ones because they are very sneaky at pricing them differently and it pays to be a bit savvy and look at the weight of each bag and compare what you actually get for your money.

Tonight we had a quick tea of pasta with quorn meatballs in a home made pasta sauce. Took 15 minutes to make at the most and just hit the spot!

Wow, this thread moves so fast! Lots of inspirational meal ideas, thanks everyone! I have updated sig with month's spend as DH spent £9.43 in Aldi on bread, milk, coffee for work, apples, blueberries and beer. The money is going quicker than I expected, but am determined to stick to budget even if we have beans on toast for a week at the end of the month!!!!

Going for a top up shop today and annoyingly I will have to get another box of nappies as well, current ones keep leaking at night so my little one is waking at about 6am instead of 8am and we're both knackered! At least Mr T has baby event on so will be cheaper than usual and I´m going near a co-op so I will have a quick look for anything cheaper in there too!

Was hoping for no spend days at the weekend but I have a massage tomorrow (can't wait!) but not quite got enough left on my voucher to cover it so will have to pay a bit! Still Sunday should be ok and will reign in the mini spends next week I hope! :)

A frosty good morning to one and all :)

Should hopefully be a no spend day in every other respect than petrol :(:(

I hate filling up. :(. I really begrudge paying so much for so little but what can you do?!

Leftover pie for tea. Probably have it with chips n mushy peas tonight.

Going to a kids club today so I'm just gonna pull some sausage rolls (whoopsied of course!) out of the freezer and a tin of smart price rice pudding n peaches as a quick dinner to stop me spending.

They have a kitchen there to open tins and warm stuff up so that's me hopefully sorted spend wise again.

I can believe how little I've spent this week and last week. I have to keep looking in my little diary just to believe it!!!

Hope everyone is doing well too

Lidls weekend offers are a bit rubbish this week so i'll pass.

Have a frugaltastic day, peeps :)

AHHHHH terrible start to the day, made my lunch this morning, left the house to defrost the car, it defrosted much quicker than I expected and I drove off without my lunch and door keys.

Had to call to the sandwich shop this morning so thats £2 spent plus a pack of chewing gum and a bottle of water. So in total £3.20. Add on the couple of pints of shandy I have after work today we are not doing well at all.

Should have a steady day tomorrow, going shopping in town but we are only going to spend the gift vouchers that we had as wedding presents.
  • Purchased some fruit & veggies along with some chicken boobies and ham all from our local farm shop, spent £17.71 and then a further £3.22 later before work for the kids drinks (& some polos for me) not doing too bad so far this month, will update sig in a mo :)
