chicken boobies :rotfl: I love it.
Went to Aldi s and spent £8 exactly, got nappies, bread, healthy snacks for the dds and a pack of sweets each for them, every Friday after school we go to the sweet shop but it worked out cheaper buying in advance from aldi.
Oh and a can of energy drink for me, I don't feel so bad about spending more than I planned as I walked to Aldi so saved petrol , plus took dd2 in the buggy as it was a far way to walk ( and she's so slow) had to go up a big hill so got a good work out! (She's nearly 4!)
I've spent practically half my budget but I do still have loads of food left as I stocked my freezer the first week and even if I do spend the full £150 it's still less than I was spending before.
Hopefully shouldn't need to spend any more till Tuesday which is my food shop day. :)

  • This morning went to get petrol and also bought the following.
    Yogurt - £0.50
    peanuts- £1.09
    Total £1.09

Just updated my signature but I do still have to go to Mr T tonight to do my shop for next week. As I have re-jigged my budget I have done so much better than I thought.

Going for a top up shop today and annoyingly I will have to get another box of nappies as well, current ones keep leaking at night so my little one is waking at about 6am instead of 8am and we're both knackered! At least Mr T has baby event on so will be cheaper than usual and I´m going near a co-op so I will have a quick look for anything cheaper in there too!

Was hoping for no spend days at the weekend but I have a massage tomorrow (can't wait!) but not quite got enough left on my voucher to cover it so will have to pay a bit! Still Sunday should be ok and will reign in the mini spends next week I hope! :)

Hi, have you tried Aldi nappies? They are quite cheap and IMO are very good, I paid 4.99 for 44 in a size 4+ today, smaller sizes you get more per pack HTH :)

Checked my receipt and they were actually 4.49!

  • Weekly shop at mr t smallest it's ever been £17.29! I did a toiletries inventory last night and I only needed to get 2 things but found I had 6 tubes of Jergens body lotion! I won't need anymore toiletries all month. I've updated my signature and will hopefully be on target as we have loads of food for less than our usual spend.

Went along to Mr S last night late on my way home and got some great reduced items. Pork ribs for dogs £4 to 99p, Cod and Chips down to 50p, steak and veg lattic 30p (will do at least three meals if I cut it up if not four.) Sweet potatoes 15p, mini garlic bread 14p each, crispy duck pancakes 89p and corriander plant for 10p. Totalled £3.21 for £17.58 worth of bits. Added to the shop all the bits I needed such as dishwasher tablets, basic lemonade, beans, flour etc so shop totalled £9.07.

Got £2.54 left for the rest of the month but the freezer is so full I cant see me needing anything apart from maybe some potatoes at some point, and possibly pasta and rice.

hi...cold here but no snow ...yet...i am planning a steamed pudding for after tea as i think the weather calls for it...also going to do jacket pots as it works well to warm up the kitchen

i have planned meals for next week and want to keep next weeks shop right down to milk and fruit/veg if needed the freezer if very full but i think i am starting to make some inroads into the stash in the cupboards (and garage)
hope everyone has a great weekend

Went shopping and spent £45 - my 2 weeks total is only a bit more than I used to spend in 1 week at Mr T:T. Need to do a store cupboard inventory so I know exactly what I've got. Had to throw out some veg gone past in the fridge and want this to be the last time I ever do that (within reason) as it is wasteful.

DH still wants to go out for Chinese food tomorrow, so I've given in. I'll be getting water instead of a soda though!

Since he's pretty much went over the January budget with one meal now, I'm going to see if he will buy some fresh fruits and more veggies for us. Might as well, seeing as I won't be eating breads, pastas, or rice for much longer. Ugh, why can't any of this be simple?!
