I'm expecting the best Christmas ever.

This time last year I was just over 3 months into a 6 month course of chemotherapy so I wasn't feeling great. Since I finished the course I no longer see Christmas (or anything for that matter) as a chore.

I'm getting into the spirit of things already. I can't wait. I'm actually excited about Christmas this year. In many previous years I've considered Christmas to be a waste of my holiday time. It's true to say I've been a bit of a Scrooge type character. Not any more! I'm even buying a Christmas jumper! :D

I also expect to get very, very drunk. I couldn't drink last year, so I'm making up for it this year!

Im expecting to spend xmas morning with my housemate drinking fizzy wine (for me) and orange juice (housemate) while we open our gifts to each other and have a bacon and egg sandwich.

My housemate will then do the lovely favour of driving me to my parents house where I will exchange presents and help my mom prepare the veg (and I will open a bottle of sherry/port so we can have a tipple at the same time!)

Im then expecting to go with my step-dad to collect my nan who will help me and my mom drink the sherry before we settle down for a feast.

I will then expect to be back home about 6pm to meet the housemate and we will have a wander up to the pub to meet friends and play games!

I expect most days between xmas and new year will be spent eating and drinking either at home or at friends houses (I have a couple of friends who’s birthday is around this time of year!)

I fully expect my liver to be begging for water by January 1st!!

Have to confess to not feeling very Christmassy at all as I'm so tired and working so many hours it's unreal. I've only had just over 8 hours sleep since saturday afternoon :( going for a quick nap now.
