Good luck Doozergirl ! Moan away, I usually have a few of those too.

Sorry, thought floors was easy one :o Will probably change the task each week related to each room, just going to see how it goes. Suggestions welcome as always.

Puppy still being sick, 4 times now, vet did say she might. Made a very naughty desert using all the naughty food. It's a 'shipwreck' containing profiteroles, icecream (inc Ben & Jerrys x2) choc cake, choc sauce, fresh cream & aero bubbles. Very bad but yummy!
One day I might be more organised...........

I don't mind if you vacuum round it, but of course you could do the declutter task then the floor if you like. Little and often, gets us there in the end.

Tell me about it, sat here looking at that empty bowl thinking if I wash it now it'd be easier, but I can't be bothered getting off my fat bum to do it. Oh well, it can wait! :rotfl:

Before joining this thread last year I actually wouldn't of considered moving it until at least tomorrow, so I am getting better.

Denise, thank you and good morning, appreciate it. You're right, like I've said dozens of times Flylady isn't the housework that I am addicted to, it's the people :) they are all so nice. Apart from Pigpen she just moans :rotfl: but she knows I don't mean it and if I had 8 kids I would moan much more and louder!

  • Well I'm back after 3 weeks away visiting sister in Oz. Think I've just about got over the jet lag and so back to flying with a vengeance. Managed to just about keep on top of things without flying for the last few days but now getting back on track. It was lovely coming back to a clean and tidy house, so the damage over the last few days has been minimal.

As I was staying at my sister's I did my washing over there so didn't come back to lots of washing as I usually do on my return from holiday, but have to admit the suitcase isn't completely empty yet - was going to do it today but nice weather to sorted out the patio at the back and sorted out the shed, so productive work.

Love the new look Lil_me - thanks for your work on this. Like the levels idea as it means when I'm too tired after work or whatever can still follow the list without feeling guilty for not completing all the tasks. I also love the declutter idea - whilst I was away I had a look at the American flylady thread and one of the suggestions I really liked was to spend 15 minutes decluttering every day, and I was aiming to do that. Things like sorting drawers out etc but not making the task so overwhelming I don't do it.

Before I went away I was doing really well and it wasn't that hard to keep everything straight (having a small house and only myself and DD living here) so am hoping for level 3 tomorrow. Intending to get up half an hour early tomorrow to do at least some of the list before I go to work. I am going to the gym after work and know that I will not feel like doing any chores then so need to do them first thing which will be a good start to the day, and indeed the week.

I want to do a list for my other jobs for the week but will do that tomorrow. I have already done lunches for tomorrow but need to get my clothes ready and stuff - always find it really helps getting everything ready the night before so need to get back into that habit.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

I know I should be better organised by now, and there has been an improvement around here but still a long way to go.

The difference is that with friendly faces around it does feel like I will get there and if I don't quite then no one is going to beat me with a stick. A KICK of the a**e maybe but that I can live with ;)

PS Great work on the new look to the thread

    Hello everyone

Can I join in with this please. I've been lurking for a while and tried to join in with the jobs sometimes, but really want to make a go of it from this week onwards!

I'm a stay at home Mum of 3, (biggest at school) so there are lots of us around to make a mess, and I never seem to get on top of it. Spent today decluttering in DD1's bedroom and it looks loads better. Have got to do DD2 next weekend!

Anyway, here is my list for tomorrow - am aiming to do at least level 2, and maybe level 3 depending on how clingy the baby is feeling.

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clean floors
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Wipe window sill, clean any marks off window if required
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round I will get the cobwebs, although DD1 likes me to leave them there since she saw Charlotte's Web at the pictures recently!!
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Level Three Will do these things if I get time, but I did them all last week so the kitchen doesn't look too bad at the moment
    Clean microwave
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week - have to confess that my oven was so bad that I had the oven cleaning man round last week. It looks like new again now, so I'm going to clean it every week from now on to keep it looking great!Declutter mission task
27 fling boogie, grab a bag and clear that clutter! Will do this in what was the playroom and is soon to be the study/workroom

    Other jobs
    School run morning and afternoon
    DD2 to preschool and back
DD1 to music lesson after school
Prepare supper - curried prawn risotto probably so I don't have to go out shopping
Tiny shop (need yoghurts for children's lunch boxes) - will do while I am waiting for DD1 to finish music lesson
    Washing to put away
Put the breadmaker on so there is fresh bread for when DD1 gets in from school (and leftovers for lunchboxes).
1 load of washing to do
    Email a friend for birthday
Write thank you letter for birthday pressie received (and post)

Gracious me, when you write it all down like that, it seems like a very long list. Am off to make the lunch boxes for the morning now! Look forward to chatting to you all tomorrow!

nell2 welcome, hope you enjoy it here, thanks for the lunchbox reminder, I'd forgot :o ooops !

I know the lists look long but if someone ever accuses you as a stay home Mum of doing nothing, you know you do a huge amount! I find the lists of everything sometimes look a little overwhleming especially when I add my own but what I sometimes do (nerdy bit coming up) is write down how long each one takes.

Also nice to have that sense of achievement for the thankless tasks we do without even being noticed most of the time.

Thrifty katie hope it helps flylady work better for you aswell, hope the holiday was good & welcome home, somewhere I would love to go. Saying that at the minute anywhere else seems more appealing :rotfl:
