Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread, usually ran by Moggins but I'm just filling in temporarily. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
As promised here is the new style Flylady thread. Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement.
I’m going to try in levels. There will be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.

A few of the basics before we start the week.
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Nighttime routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
27 Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding 27 items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Hi all xx
I'll try to be back on track this week.. I've kind of kept up.. though I completely ignored Friday as the childrens rooms are nasty again. I did next to nothing on Thursday (we spent all day in the park) and Friday I wanted a lazy day so had one!!
Tiddles looks like she has just started up with an icky chucky bug and barfed all over the kitchen.. so if it is germ related we will be in for a week of it as it runs through everyone.. stocking up on pepto bismol tomorrow.. just in case I get it lol.. I like drugs!
Anyway.. she's whinging.. tummy pain apparently.. so I am needed elsewhere.. so if I am AWOL.. that's why!
Hope everyone has a good week!

Evening everyone and welcome to the new comers. Liking the new format lil_me though it looks like I have no excuse for cleaning the kitchen floor this week !! I didn't do too badly on my bedroom tasks last week, though the ceiling still isn't fixed, have sealed the plaster though, so that's one step in the right direction.
I'm going to do a variation on the 27 fling boogie, as there's not much left to fling here, so I'm going to fling my computer files, I have all sorts of files that I really don't need anymore, and my harddrive is getting full (ok that's mostly photos).

Glad your feeling better lil_me, good luck with fitting your ff in! must say im jealous, I would love a new ff.
pigpen, if your going to spread germs can i politely request you stay away from me!!! I seem to pick up everything going and cant afford to be ill this week!
Welcome Tartan Mum and newmrslockwood hope you enjoy the thread. Its really helped me. Im hoping when i go back to work that as Ive broken the back of it it will be much easier to keep on top of things ( i know im lucky to be able to do this, and the fact i have a 2 up 2 down house does help.) After spending a good few hrs per room (try about 6) the first week i joined, when wiping down the cupboard fronts it now takes about 1min unlike the ....... sorry my three key has just fallen off off my laptop??!?!?!??!?!? how the hell am i going to get it back on???3 ok it just clicked on panic over..... anyway back to thingy it took about an hr the first week to get the fronts of my cupboards un-minging now it takes a few mins so my advice - if you dont get everything done the first time, dont stress, but if you get just one thing of the level 2 or 3 done in a week in a room, keep doing that thing the next week as it takes a fraction of the time it did the first time round, and if you miss it out for more than a couple of weeks ive found out i end up back at the beginning ....
Sorry for the ramble and i hope it works for you!!!
Right I need another glass of wine, just got a message from the bf in Afghanistan, as im in the TA i know what hes up against but it still just upset/shocked me to hear that hes been under contact out there. Hohumm least hes ok!!0 -
Hello Tartanmum and newmrslockwood. I've only been flying for a few weeks, but it has made a huge difference to how our home looks and how I feel about myself.
Hope you find it helps nudge you in the direction you want to be going.
I like reading other people's lists as it sometimes reminds me of little jobs waiting to be done.
Only one lot of washing sorted today, but laundry baskets aren't overflowing so no immediate panic there!
Essentials shop done this morning and 3 bags of old clothes/shoes dropped at recycling bins.
Internet used to check various odd pieces of info I needed to check out for work and adoption.
Not a lot else done, we've just had a relaxing day together.
Hugs to all who are feeling a bit low and fed up.
Michelle- i can't really add anything to what others have said already, but I hope you are ok.
Have a lovely evening everyone.
See you tomorrow....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Not sure which level I'll be doing yet, the boiler service man is coming tomorrow - supposed to be 9am, but he's normally late - so I'll have to see how the time goes. But I will do something!0

I'm back but on my knees with a bottle of wine and a LARGE bar of chocolate (I've eaten the ice-creams!):rotfl: DD had her sleepover last night. Spent Friday night out shopping then collapsed after the disaster with the vinegar. Saturday I spent doing laundry (7 loads in total I had to re-do once you included the dirty stuff and the load I had to re-do when the maiden with it on blew over into the flowerbed which is just muck and hardly any plants  ), visited my family & grabbed some more plant pots from my mum :money::D Then when we got back I went with DD to pick her cousin up...nearly 2 hours later I came back with DD and cousin in tow :rotfl: Baby cousin is soooo sweet
All hell let loose for a couple of hours, only quieting down at tea time, and they both went to bed at 8pmish....only for me to have to go up and seperate them so one would sleep on the floor (on blankets & in a sleeping bag though
) while the other stayed in the bed. 10pm I finally gave up and got to sit down and relax after reading 3 stories & singing I don't know how many ballads to them to try to get them to sleep. 7am this morning they got up, at 8.09 they started knocking on the bedroom door wanting to come down for breakfast  After the usual "She said/did/hurt" etc at 3pm I took them back around to cousins house and spent another 2 hours chatting to my mate and holding the baby who's been playing up today. Came home, bathed DD and changed her bed, had tea (stew in the slowcooker I had the foresight to put on this morning
) and I have a pile of ironing awaiting me (all pants & bedding) but it can wait until tomorrow. Now do you know why I have wine and chocolate :rotfl::rotfl:
Still need to make DD's packed lunch but instead of her "proper" uniform (tie, blouse etc - her choice of name not mine :rotfl:) she can wear a summer dress tomorrow. I haven't the energy to stand ironing school skirts...but I must find her PE shorts...should get away with no having to iron them though
Tomorrow plan of action is to do dailys (todays did get done except for the S&S in the bathroom which seemed pointless as DD was due a bath & I'm having one after Supernatural finished at 10pm) and then try to return the house back to normal through tidying up. I also need to dispatch a eBay parcelNot going to do that first thing though as the post office will be heaving with people  Plus I have to find the item again in the boxes. Will post a proper list tomorrow morning if I can get myself out of bed - I NEED to do my exercises tomorrow after the weekend I've had food wise
Night Night all xxxCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
