OP
WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?
There is nobody here with a magic wand.
The answer lies with your family. If 5 of them couldn't give you a pound each to get you to an interview, I'd disown the lot of them.
It looks like you are on your own. And that is the best way to be, because if you aren't relying on others, nobody can let you down.
If I was in your shoes, I'd sit outside a shop/train station/office building with a small sign saying "desperately in need of 10 fifty pences to get me to an interview that might get me on the road to a better life"---and I'm not taking the mick, I'm deadly serious.0 -
A Crisis Loan is not suitable for someone struggling to pay for transport and other basic needs - it's for households that have experienced a disaster or emergency like a flood or fire.
.
You can get a crisis loan for food and gas/electric if you have no money, because you may be waiting to hear about a benefit, and a few other reasons.0 -
Paul why are you even here posting, I'm asking for help and it's people like you that judge and get on my nerves, this is my asking for help not a CommentNCritique forum so in all fairness take your criticism elsewhere.
I don't smoke or drink the thought of it alone is disgusting, just looking at people drinking alcohol or smoking is sickening, everyone has their own habits and that's perfectly fine but me I'm quite happy with plain old water and orange juice.
You say I don't want work when right now Retail is my main search priority, but given the chance I'd take something as low as garbage disposal i don't care as long as I'm busy and I get paid.
And if I don't know something exists like Crisis Loans how do you expect me to apply for them? Think before you post.
I will check out the Budgeting loan for definite just because I couldn't go on Wednesday doesn't mean I wouldn't like to organise another interview with them myself which I'd be happy to.
And don't bring Africa in this either because I guarantee you've just been on your backside and seen all the charity ads on tv, when I volunteered for a year with a charity I requested to be able to go there for a few months to help out with their program and I did, I know exactly what it's like over there and it doesn't justify my situation or anyone elses, everybody is in different situations good or bad an handle them differently just because one problem is worse than another doesn't mean that it's nothing to worry about.
I also made a plan for my family for the amount to pay people and have enough left to live on with what they all earn and so far it's worked perfectly and they are getting back on their feet.
And it still is sick to ask me to sell things that are memories of my family including my grandmother who as I repeat passed away.
If you was in a bad situation in heavy debt of some kind and the only way to get out of it would be to sell your most treasured item from your mother your father or your boyfriend/girlfriend or wife/husband and you could get £1million for selling that item if you sold it you have no heart and no morals whatsoever.
To be fair, you dont seem as bad as some. You at least seem basically to want to sort yourself out which is better than most.
What would you rather though - people on here saying OK love dont go to the interview? Honestly, dont go down that path of thinking everything is against you, its not fair etc. Life is like that - a lot of us have had to put with same as you in the past. Those who make a success are those who think right I'm going to sort this interview out then there are those who think I'm not going and then moan they're stuck on benefits for the rest of their life.
Its what it is. If you dont go you risk having benefits cut. So you've got to do. Simple as. Like I said even if you have to walk there.
If you lived near me I'd give you a lift...0 -
Rainlight, put them on ignore, my list is quite long, there are some sad nasty people on here who hang out just to be nasty and try and feel good about themselves, you will not change how they are, you will just waste your time trying.0

No there can't, if you read the thread, you will see the interview was 2 hours away, the OP can only be asked to travel 1.5 hours, so sorry he can't be sanctioned.0
