  • Thanks Gram - will do so tomorrow. I also had solicitors who were to act for me in an injury claim wonder if they will still do so - any ideas? Also wondering if they will still pick up my hired car on Wednesday - great timing - I am leaving the country on Thursday

Oh poor Christmas Cancelled I do know exact how you feel - it has happened to me at same time of year before. No great words of advice unfortunately - only the old favourite - this too shall pass and it will! I am living proof

Sad for the people who'll lose their jobs but hopefully insurers will start returning to dealing with claims in house

Lets see the back of these third party company leeches, it's now time for Insurers to tighten up their game and start taking ownership instead of outsourcing.

Really sad for the current DA staff, wish you all the best

If they're in Adminstration the Administrators will be trying to sell all or part of the company as a going concern.

Hopefully Helphire would be barred due to a monopoly and will be the next in trouble

I just phoned Esure claims and they have now told me all cases will be felt with by Esure and they have taken all my details and will be contacting me
Lets see they said couple of days so I will be phoning Thursday
  • Obviously very bad news for those that work there.

As an aside however it is slightly interesting in how the administrators will deal with the matter. Technically of cause it is the car hirer that has the credit agreement and so when all debts are called in will the administrators approach those that have had the cars or continue to try and pursue the TPIs
  • oh boy are we lucky
we have been waiting for two weeks, for drive assist to pick up our car for repairs or to be written of.. other than sending us a hire car, we heard nothing from them. the other persons insurers are now
covering the claim. which leaves us with a drive assist car on our drive, and as of midnight tonight is not insured. and no one knowns when it will be picked up.
we feel very sorry for those left without jobs, cars, or payments.

I have a hire car from DA. My own car is a write off. As I only had third party fire and theft on my car my insurance company would not deal with me - reason I went with DA. I have asked them to collect hire car on Wednesday as I am leaving the country.
Zolfo Cooper has urged those affected by administrator to use the following contact details:
