Breaking news.
There are reports online that Drive Assist have been placed in adminstration.
No doubt more info will follow.

The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Sad for the people who'll lose their jobs but hopefully insurers will start returning to dealing with claims in house0
-
I have a claim with drive assist and it looks like they have gone bust as my cheque I got from them this week bounced and no one is answering there phone it happened at 12pm today
They owe me £2000 and have my car as well0 -
what's the £2k for?0
-
Can I ask what the cheque was for ?
Personal injury
Total loss of vehicle
Private repairs
I have worked for Drive Assist and maybe able to point you in the right direction.0 -
The cheque was for total loss my bank have sent it back to me
One thing that does not look right to me was the cheque was hand written I would have thought it would have been printed0 -
I feel sorry for the people who are owed money by DA eg the Insurers who refer business to them... oh hang on0

I suppose it depends on how you came to be with them.
If your insurer is using them to claim handle your claim then they are agents of your insurer and your insurer will have to make good any losses.
If you self referred then DA are your agent and if they've bounced a cheque on you then you might well end up as an unsecured creditor.
There just might be some sort of insurance backed "client account" system to force separation & protection of client money from company money.0 -
I'm with Esure they put me though to them, I did not contact them my self0
-
I suspect you'll be ok then then, just get on to esure...although there might be a queue on the phone system0
-
I have and Esure say drive assist is still trading and they have not yet been formally notified
I will try them again tomorrow
Thanks
Don't no if I said but they also have the scrapped car
So I've got nothing0
