Antonic thanks so much for taking the time to give us all those tips! This journey can be so much like a rollercoaster - ups and downs - that it is always inspiring to read about how others reach their goals! :beer:Debts: Credit Card: €6000 ---> €5050 Feb 25 \ Overdraft: Step 3/100

Thanks Debtbuster!
I see by your signature that you are doing really well yourself!
The journey can be a bit of a rollercoaster...highs and lows....my car broke down today and had to be towed away, so we'll see what the next few weeks bring. I just hope it isn't done for altogether...I have no savings and I do NOT want another loan!!!Debts: Credit Card: €6000 ---> €5050 Feb 25 \ Overdraft: Step 3/100

Oh no about the car, they are fine when they are running but as soon as something goes wrong it's always so costly,fx it doesn't set you back too much though. I know my outstanding debt is coming down,I just get frustrated by the time it's taking.LBM Jan 2012 £32355 now £23984.01

Thanks Debtbuster. The car cost €170 to repair, and for once in my life I actually had that money in my current account! Wow! Mind you, I had hoped to pay a little extra off my debts and budget towards a night away with my friends next month. Still, at least it was there when I needed it!
Payday tomorrow.
Looking forward to popping back in to update my signature and plod onwards a little more towards my debtfree future!
How is everyone else getting on? Hope you are all doing okay. :hello:Debts: Credit Card: €6000 ---> €5050 Feb 25 \ Overdraft: Step 3/100

Hi Everyone - very quiet in here these days, we all must be beavering away paying off our debt! Castlelough - happy belated birthday and well done on your wonderful achievement! I dream of the day that I pay my final instalment! I think I might cry, it's such a burden that we have. But you keep plodding on don't you? I feel that it's taking sooo long to get any progress. Otherwise, things are good here. I'm refocused on my eating plan and I've lost 7lbs!! Woo hoo! I have really badly damaged my knee though, I had my consultants appointment a few weeks ago and it seems I have multiple problems with my left knee so I can't do all the exercise classes I used to. The weight is coming off though so that's the main thing.

Hi NYD!
Yes it is veryquiet in here! I just set up my own debtfree diary tonight, as it was so quiet in here!
Well done on your debt-busting by the way! You have done so well already this year! Which debt are you focusing on to clear first?
I found focusing on the OD gave me great motivation as even though it was lower than other debts, and the interest paid on it was way way less than the credit card or Loan 2, it just gave me a psychological boost! When my wages go into my account it is ALL mine now - that hasn't been the case in about 13 years, so I am loving it!
But it does feel like forever between paydays at the moment. I am using an app to budget and record my spending. It is just called 'Budgets' and I have another called 'Debtfree'. They were both free and I obsess over them!!!!Debts: Credit Card: €6000 ---> €5050 Feb 25 \ Overdraft: Step 3/100

Hiya! Debt busting is going very slowly, but we've paid off our holiday, so that's good. On the upside, I've lost nearly 2.5 stone since Xmas :jLong haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0

Hi Castlelough and Recurrent Ostrich - nice to see you guys!!! WOW - Ostrich - that is FANTASTIC!!! Well done you. It puts my paltry 5.5lbs to complete shame!!! Your head must be in the right place and so focused. I am very impressed. Can you please push some of that in my direction?!! To be honest, I was playing around until 5 weeks ago and I lost consistently for 4 weeks in a row (last time I did that was when I lost weight for my wedding 4 years ago!) so I was super chuffed. Then I went out with a friend last weekend, drank too much wine and eat myself out of house and home for the rest of hte bank holiday weekend and gained 2.5lbs!!! But I'm back on my horse and staying focused.
Debt busting for both of you sounds like it's getting there. I have to agree it's so very slow. It really does feel like an eternity between paydays doesn't it?!!! Oooo where are you off to Ostrich, bet it's a nice feeling to know your holiday is paid for in cash and not on the credit card. We have put so many holidays on the credit card. In fact we have just paid off a credit card this month for our flights to Australia, HK and Thailand that we went on last October!!! Scandalous really!
Castlelough - I was focusing on the highest APR debt but then I read a post from a very unfortunate lady who was asked to pay her OD back in 30 days. I just wouldn't be able to do that so I've decided to focus on paying that back first and what you say also sounds good about your wages being yours rather than it going into negative figures pretty much after the 1st of the month when all the bills come out!!! I'll need to have a peek in your debt diary hon!
