Dec 2015 is where I am aiming for as well! Still have a large amount of debt but am overpaying where I can and everything is on the least interest possible.

I budget on my basic wage and then any overtime/bonuses/instructors allowance gets split 1/3 to overpayment, 1/3 to emergency find savings and 1/3 to those things which make life enjoyable. My sons swimming cass fees or the occasional family meal etc.

My LBM was 12 months ago and I am just sitting here toting up. How I have done....

ETA - Have paid back 6170.82 in the last 12 months, in that time we have moved house, kitted out the kitchen, had an amazing MSE holiday (flights were wedding presents and my uncle let us use his apartment rent free for 10 days)

Feeling quite proud of that right now

Wow thats an awesome amount to pay off in 12 months!

I will be aiming to pay off a total of £5,000 in 2013 - don't think I could manage any more than than to be honest but I live in hope :rotfl:

You should be proud & imagine how we will feel when we are all debt freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Hmmmmmmm I'm aiming for about 3 stone & £5,000

We shall see how that works out I will probably get rid of the debt but just end up massive haha!

count me in - my estimated DMP debt-free-date is mid 2016 which is too far away. I'm sure with a couple of kicks up the backside and some moral support, I can shave at LEAST 6 months off that

I will promise to give you that virtual kick up the bottom that you need if you do the same for me!

Much moral support will also be provided :p

We can defo all do this come on look how motivated we all are!

I am work till 4.45 then meeting a friend for some dinner - Im then ging straight home to bed I am soooooooooooooooooo tired!

Its this wintery weather Im sure of it just hate how its dark when I leave the house & dark when I get back - Bring back the sunlight!

  • So far so good today.....i'm struggling with an insurance claim for a property I own but at least I finally (after 2 months) got them out to take a look, i'm hopeful that something good might come of it.

I've got my DMP confirmed with StepChange who are now in the process of letting all my creditors know what they will be recieving. I'm hoping they all freeze interest but that would require something good to happen to me for a change!!

I have a list from SC now of what each creditor will be recieveing, suprisingly, my lowest amount debt (£875 to QuickQuid) is getting the largest chunk of my £482 monthly payment..

I quite like the winter in all honesty

Aiming for DFD of Dec 2015
