Happy Thursday, one more step closer to half term :j
Heard from one of the ladies I clean for and she has asked that I hold off cleaning for her until the third week in February...hmmm not sure if that's a good sign or not! I guess it gives me chance to get this house in order.
Checked online banking and have discovered that I have been paid early from permanent job, we normally get paid on the last Thursday of every month so a bit of a surprise.
Spreadsheet updated but need to update the savings ones, so will do that this morning.
Next week I need to get started with the Flyladying again, even if I only get level 1 done every day its better than nothing and the house will sort of look clean.
However on to today...(my list is back)
Finish the washing
Change our bed
Work
Wash up
Sort dinner
Take DD to Rainbows
Sort savings spreadsheets out
Job hunting
Right off to get motivated and sorted for the day, back later x0 -
Hi PMO2
Sounds like you have a good plan set out for today. Felt abit guilty when I read it as I have done B#gger all so far today.
I must sign off now and get on with something. A messy house makes me annoyed, but then why don't I do something about it.....
Hope you have a good dayxxx0 -

Morning,
Ok so a couple of things I need to get written down.
We've got the gas/electric bill through but need to delay paying it until DH gets paid. Also spoke to E.on yesterday about my change over to M&S and they didn't try and talk me out of it...shock! lol
The credit card has had a slight pounding but I was expecting it AND it will go up a bit more before February is out, so just need to try and adjust the payments slightly so that the Virgin one is still going down at a reasonable rate.
DD has been hankering for a Build A Bear for the past few weeks and has even said she'd use her Christmas money to buy one. I spoke to DH and we have given her my hippo one that has been stuck in my wardrobe for the past 10+ years, it is so nice to see her smileShe now plans to use some of her money to buy it some clothes and it has saved us some money as DH would have bought the bear for her in the end.
Okay, honesty time....I feel like I'm losing my grip on the whole moneysaving thing. I feel that I'm constantly fighting a losing battle; I should have enough NSD's under my belt by now and have only managed 3 which in turn makes me want to spend.
I am going to take some time and read my first post again and take stock and work out how we're going to push forward.
(back soon)0 -
Morning PMO2
Well done with the "build-a-bear" issue. We went there with our two children a couple of years ago. The cost!!!!!!! I don't think we came out with much change from £100 .
Don't lose steam hun, you are doing so well. If you have seen my diary, I have had a difficult week with extra expenses (car repairs etc) and it is so disheartening. But if we give up we will never get out of this hole.
We just have to keep battling, and even if we get the debt down by a tiny fraction each month, at least we are moving in the right direction.
Keep posting on your diary, keep reading others stories. Maybe look for another challenge to fire you up again.
Keep smiling hun.0 -
hi purple.
you are doing so well so don't lose heart. great idea to rad back over your diary to see how much progress you have made.
Hope you have a nice weekendx

Back again....Thanks for your comments :kisses3:
Unsure what happened to me earlier this morning, tired I think and slightly fed up too but you're right I need to keep fighting and any reduction is a good thing.
So no more moping about and being a silly moo, plenty of ranting and rambling though :rotfl:
I forgot to mention earlier, I spoke to my friend who's brother works at the company I applied for a job at and didn't hear back from...well it appears that he didn't know I'd not heard back and when he goes in to work next week he's going to talk to the MD if I was still interested in the jobso there is a chance something might come out of it anyway.
DH isn't so keen on my going for the job 'if' I'm offered it, but I've said to him that if it gets me away from the kitchen and I only stay there for a year, it gets me back in to office environment and back into what I used to do.
DH is out tonight on his department late christmas get together, they're going for a meal and a catch up and as DH has his aviation medical tomorrow he won't be out late.
DS has his climbing club tomorrow, hoping to get a refund for last week as we couldn't get there because of the snow. Will have to take DD with us though which is a pain as she gets bored.
Going to give next week some thought about moving forward and will post on here later when I have a mini plan thought out.0 -
Back again and ok I'm feeling a bit more positive than I was.
Things done:
Spreadsheets updated - Credit cards and savings done
Totalled up credit card again with new purchases added on and I have a rough guestimate of what it will end up being once everything else has gone on.
Have found some of my old diaries on here and I'm pleased to report that my attitude to getting debt free has changed over the years although I have found I am more lazy now than I was back then  which probably doesn't help my mood.
I will probably update this post in stages as the kids need to go bed soon and I will add more as I think of things.
Ok now I know where we stand, I don't feel too bad...okay I don't feel great about things either but I can't have everything.
So next week looks like this:
DH's birthday
DH dentist
Need to pay for DD's subs/insurance for Rainbows
Must pay for DS's Wacky Wednesday lunches at school
That's it I think but no doubt something else will crop up.
So crunch time...Credit card is now: £5169.17 <<deep breath>> I think I need to up my payment by at least £10 so will need to look at the budget and tweak it a bit.0 -
Good morning,
Had a fairly good nights sleep last night and I have my thinking head on today.
DS has his climbing club this morning and I need to take DD with me....will badger the place for a refund for last week. If I get nowhere I know the main man and will speak to him about it.
Next week looks like this (beside what I put down yesterday)
Walk as much as possible - need to try and make the petrol last
Avoid being at the school 3/4 hour before pick up
Housework - I need to get started on this properly
Meal plan - we've been eating !!!! this past two weeks and need to bang it on the head
Stick to £10 personal spends this week
Make more of an effort to exercise and drink more water - this in turn may help my mood
Yesterday was a bit of wake up call, I've been down about things before but not to the extent that I've had to take stock of things and reading my old diaries is what I needed.
So the old me is under the surface, just got to let her loose lol
As DS has his climbing club today, I'm taking a flask of tea and some munchies rather than spend money there as it costs a fortune.
I need to nip to my lady's house and pick up my cleaning money from the other week, this will help towards next weeks spends.
Have a good day everyone x0 -
