LW that is a top idea for my cards and probably their best chance tbh.
Shops here quieter today but were mobbed on Monday so maybe it is the weather, dire here.
Upstairs, LR and kitchen all tidied. Room of Doom and DH Room of Doom both need attention this weeked. New kitchen window being delivered soon, so hope I like it, I need an end to the saga. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
House tidied and hoovered, decorations up, cards posted (still have neighbour ones to deliver) Two presents still to get, but I know what they will be.
Sort of getting Christmas spirit, but I am waiting for something in the post that has nothing to do with Christmas so post is checked then "Oh well better open cards" which is not the right attitude.0 -
DS still hasn't quit - but since my 4pm post there has been some combined flying here at the Skint Ritz
remainder of the 27 biscuit pickup has been hoovered up by me
DD3 has tidied her One Direction gumpf and hoovered her room and hallway
DD2 has pickup dirty washing and taken to utility and folded and delivered one basket of clean washing around the house
dinner has been devoured, DS has been bathed and dressed for bed by me, and I am ready to sleep...having a hot bath has not helped my ankles at all - but at least I am clean
lights off and no more typing and we will see if my errant son quits! The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Good evening

I am back from town and DD2 has a trial shift at the coffee shop :j:j:j To say she is bricking it is an understantement!
She really lacks confidence to try anything new - hence this will be her 1st ever job (if she gets it) at age 17 1/2. The longer she goes on, the harder it will be (lack of experience & an empty CV becomes more of a problem), so I have pushed her a little bit
I have told her that she must step out of her comfort zone, and she just needs to listen, be polite & smile
This will either be the making of her or be a disaster!! Hopefully it will be the former.
Ok. I now need to do some serious studying

GI that is great news, I hoope she enjoys it.
Just going to tidy up from dinner and then I may write a card or twoThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I'm very tired. I had a rotten night's sleep interrupted by DH coming home at 1am and Dd1 going to work at 4.30am. DS2 was up at 6 for his paper round, he's delighted with the tips he is getting.
I tackled the main bedroom today and an pretty pleased with the short spurt of flying.
DH WFH today nursing his hangover from the Christmas do. He cooked chilli CC when I was at the paid stuff. It was an unexpected surprise.
I've written a few more cards I really can't be bothered. There is a mums night out tonight but I am too tired to glam up.
DD2 has her gymnastics show tomorrow so ill have to summon some GUAG for that.
Bossymoo your post really made me smile. How lovely.
GI good luck for your DD.0 -
So sad to hear of the school shootings in the USA, chills your heart, my love goes out to those poor parents. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Oh how awful! A parents worst nightmare.
Kiddies are in bed, DS has been talking about his dad again. He was showing me 3 fingers saying that was wrong, and that we need "this" (4 fingers) gawd I wish I could fix it for him
On a flying note, we had tidied the toys away, and I have wrapped and labelled 4 presents. And I might do a couple more! So we are all above stairs, tidy down there, and now being lazy. Don't know if I'm hungry or not...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
