Right- back in bed with cuppa and DS
flung bath mats and handtowels downstairs from main and ensuite, carried down teacups and breakfast things with all my sharps for the sharps box - sharps away and cups stacked ready for DW later
DS helped carry out bath mats and poured the conditioner in the conditioner drawer :j and carried out empty washing liquid and conditioner bottle and put in recycling box - WM now doing its thing
- that was the 5 minutes, but I realised I hadn't switched the kettle on, so did that and hung up DS coat that somehow had ended up behind settee and put understairs, opened up LR curtains, but blinds closed
brought up cuppa and my steam mop ready for the next hourThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Morning all, have just waved DH off for another day's shopping without me. This time he is going to wander around Gravesend for any last minute Christmas pressies. I seriously think he is telling me something now... I reakon he doesn't want to go shopping with me anymore..lol
Yesterday we popped to the Crematorium and paid the next 5 years on Mums plot. It was sad and happy at the same time. We did sit in the car afterwards and watch all the birdies - I saw three robins and one chaffinch foraging for food. I sat there thinking that Mum might be a robin as I see my one every day in the garden. And we did have Asbo robin and then when he passed away, we now have sone of Asbo robin. And robins are my favourite birds, along with Magpies. Ok I know it's a daft thought but it is a nice thought.
After the Crem we then went to Costco and I managed to get DH to spend an inane amount of money on our meat for the next three months. Plus somehow my Christmas meat ended up in the trolley..don't know how that happened
Then we headed over to a dead Lakeside shopping centre. Wondered where everyone was as it was unusually quiet, especially so near Christmas too.
Oooh and my Christmas present to myself arrived - a lovely shiny new black mixer. It's very much like a KitchenAid but not one - my mixer. I did get to touch a KitchenAid mixer yesterday while at Lakeside, and a pink one at that too. Then after fondling it I decided I was glad I didn't have one as it was way too heavy for me to handle with my weak wrists. Still at least I have fondled one now :rotfl:
Today my plans have been changed so I am at home alone, and I intend to get my house into order. So I am looking to do several HH challenges - hope some people are up for doing this with me
And no that does not mean you Skint, you are to rest your ankles
Hugs to all the poorlies, please look after yourselves we don't want you ill over the Christmas period do we

Morning all, I've got a cold - but better now than over Christmas

Pouring with rain so the washing is draped everywhere. I vacuumed the kitchen and hallway then gave the living room a really good dusting/polishing and vacuuming ready to put the tree up tomorrow. I pulled out the seat cushions on the suite - the sofa was full of biscuit crumbs and pistachio nut shells (where DH) sits, the chair (where I sit) completely clean......of course round the computer keyboard is a whole different story
Feeling a bit cold sitting here so I might move around a bit now.0 -

Natty I am so glad I am not alone with this kind of thing.....once upon a time it was referred to as window shopping, but an online friend of mine coined the phrase "kitchen p0rn" and "furniture p0rn".....lakeside used to be my local shops til I moved, but the thought of going there now fills me with terror, so I have to lurk the shady corners of the internet for luscious appliances......then resort to making do......or revisiting it and keep salivating :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I will join you on the hour for 5 minutes for something gentle, but that's me lot! :T at the moment I can still just see my ankle bones
The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
report for the 5 minutes at 12 - DS and I steam mopped the main bathroom....back in bed straight -away, a bit of fb and a bit of lurk....DS happy watching cbeebies:pThe cold never bothered me anyway0

Who's up for HHC at 12.30pm? I need to get going..lol
So do I, Natty - I really did not want to get out of bed this morning (and I'm usually an early bird) and it has hardly got any lighter than it was at 8.00 am. I hate dark, wet days!
I have hoovered round a bit so will use the HHC to dust and polish and put up the three light bridges to keep me sane - also I'll check the tree lights.
Off I go....0 -

Oh I agree with you about kitchen p0rn..lol I do it all the time, even online. But I don't normally do Lakeside but it was only because hubby was with me that I was okay, and thankfully it was quiet. If it had been any busier I would have fled to the car within 10 mins of arriving..lol
I am going to do my HHC 3 mins late..lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
