No cards written but I have bought a frozen whole lobster from Lidl so I'm sure all will be well!
I now have a weird mental image of a shivering lobster, with a blanket wrapped round it and a hot cup of tea in front of it, with a pen in its claw writing Dusty's cards.:rotfl:
I have to wonder what the Trick Cyclist would make of that.....

Anyone want to join me for HHC at 3.05pm?

I was with you in spirit for a quick 5 minutes - empties taken downstairs, cuppa made, DW unloaded and started to re-loaded

checked blood, running low, so biscuit required with cuppa - only to find DS has de-cluttered whole packet of rich tea on the bedroom floor......any other day I would laugh.....but not today :(
The cold never bothered me anyway

Then we headed over to a dead Lakeside shopping centre. Wondered where everyone was as it was unusually quiet, especially so near Christmas too.

It sounds like they are really feeling the squeeze from Stratford Westfield then. Mental note made which shopping centre to visit if needed :)

Went into town - didn't achieve much :( I took the wellies back to Wilkos that didn't fit, so at least they aren't cluttering up the hall anymore. Just waiting for a child to be picked up then heading back into town with my 2 plus 1 extra. A new coffee shop is opening tomorrow, and i asked if they were hiring. they advised me to bring DD2 in later with her CV. I will need lots of good luck & even more confidence-boosting vibes please :D
I have promised them a Maccy D's for tea :p

Ok. I am going to tidy up the crafting mess & make sure DD2 is ready to go.
Well done SB5 on keeping your feet up today. I was beginning to think it was not possible! :)

One wonders how your mind works LW, although saying that I had a vision of the lobster writing Dusty's cards..but without the tea and pen..lol

In my HHC it turned into a bit longer and I managed to do the following:
    • Rearrange shelves so that I can put my Christmas santas on one, robins on one and Christmas candles on the other.
    • Bring my Jim Shore ornament down and place on the unit, once I had cleaned the unit thoroughly.
    • Dust plants again.
    • Clean unit glass in top doors
    • Rehang DH meerkat advent calender somewhere obscure..:p
    • Tidy up toys in dog bed and rearrange the blankets

Have to do the sofa and table next to sofa, then pop a clean throw over the sofa. Then that's the bottom end of the living room done :D Top end to do after that :D

Apparently Gravesend was as dead as a dodo too, even the Primark was quiet and that is never heard of. Pretty Christmas lights though.

Maidstone was dead earlier in the week. They had pretty Christmas lights too.

I expect next week could be manic shops wise, or not!!

Waiting for my doggy guest to arrive, then we can go shopping. Hopefully Asda won't be very busy..fingers crossed.

    I agree wholeheartedly!

Have spent the day sniffling, but fingers crossed the other problem seems to have finally resolved itself...:):)

It has been yeuch here today - it hasn't got properly light all day. OH, as predicted, has been off sick and so has been on the sofa in front of the telly watching the Mosconi cup - a pool tournament between the US and Europe. He tried to sell it to me as the Ryder Cup of Pool - he failed - i gave up and returned to the ironing mountain.

Off now to round up the tissues that haven't made it to the bin!:mad:

  • Back to report my 4pm activity - 10 minute activity

played a novel twist on the childhood card game "52 card pick up", its called "27 biscuit pick up" :rotfl:

ensuite sink, loo and shower given a jolly good once over with c!f - my shower seems to have sprung a leak - oh joy! more expense - well that will have to wait to the spring now:mad::mad::mad:

DD3 is currently supplying me with more tea, and is repairing the devastation she created having a shower the second she came in from school - so apart from the cuppa, I am not any further ahead....yet!

DD2 just walked in....I will wait until she has had a cuppa before I ask for a 10 minutes or a 6p from her :p

DS yet to quit for his nap......so all lights are off and no more typing for me

Well the rain arrived with the temp much milder, so the ice has thankfully thawed in time for us to go to the Christmas party. Little ones had lots of fun, dancing, singing, pass the parcel, homemade cake and goodies, plus a chocolate Santa each to bring home.
We came home on a slightly extended route so we could check out all the Christmas lights, bless them, they are so giddy.

Hello flyladies. I'm afraid I've done no flying this week, just the dailies and the paid stuff. I have a list for the weekend, some essential if anyone is to receive their Xmas pressies all wrapped, but others just a wish list. DH is home all weekend so we've plans to relax and just enjoy ourselves.
Spend less now, work less later.
