  • Good evening :D

I am back from town and DD2 has a trial shift at the coffee shop :j:j:j To say she is bricking it is an understantement! :p She really lacks confidence to try anything new - hence this will be her 1st ever job (if she gets it) at age 17 1/2. The longer she goes on, the harder it will be (lack of experience & an empty CV becomes more of a problem), so I have pushed her a little bit :o I have told her that she must step out of her comfort zone, and she just needs to listen, be polite & smile :) This will either be the making of her or be a disaster!! Hopefully it will be the former.

Ok. I now need to do some serious studying :(

just to say that my DD2 was very nearly 18 when she got her first job - at the after school club. 14 months on she's still there - as a fully paid up and much loved member of staff - she loves it! Good luck to your DD!

I have a mate whose DD1 got a job at Pret after her GCSE's - she had that job threough 6th form and Uni. She's now back after her first baby and a deputy manager - she and her husband are just moving into their first home - and I've never seen anyone happier...

Can't sleep. I'm worried about DD1 who picked up her BF from the end of the Central Line Tube Station at 1am. I will feel happier when I hear from her.

I need to tidy the utility room but it's far too cold to do it at this hour. I have to be quiet as the littlies need as much sleep as possible. School is very draining this time of year. I also intend to wash all the hard floors downstairs. The oven is also going to be cleaned today in readiness for the big event in 10 sleeps time.

I have a few more presents to wrap so that's the plan for now.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Oh mumto5 I hope you hear from her soon!

    Quiet on here!

Well tots are breakfasted, wm on, kitchen dailies done. We have a party at lunchtime so I will do them an early snack. Need to collect a parcel en route.

Didn't wrap any more last night, but will do at least one today as it needs to exit the building tomorrow.s

[STRIKE]Didn't do the kiddies beds so that's a plan for this afternoon.[/STRIKE] Can't think what else to do. A bit of a toy tidy, perhaps. Actually, when the tots are away to bed, I'm going to have a sort in the spare room cupboard. I want to wrap their presents but they are all squished in and will tear. So I'll get that organised.

Need to get a present for MIL birthday. She is having an op today, her birthday next weekend and I was going to take her to see Steven Holbrook but she doesn't want to go now (after seeing something on tv, looks like a fraud). Maybe I'll get her some books, or DVDs. She's going to be off her feet for a good while.

Also need to get DS a little football to wrap as his present of a term at soccer school.

Wishing everyone a good weekend, here's to the great thaw!
    ETA beds done.

    Morning all

Mumto5 I hope DD has been in touch and is safe.

Dreadful night's sleep with DS3 up coughing so we have all just woken and I feel drugged.

So, so much to do this weekend including putting the tree up.
