What's wrong with crunchy nut cornflakes?! Loving them at the mo, and coco pops. I'd hate giving up wine I think. And gin. :o I love that your OH is being so protective of you both though Birdie. Adorable. :)

Cinny I'm so pleased you handed your notice in. No job is worth making yourself ill over. I don't blame you for 'shaking like a right wally'. It's scary! I stood up to my dad once and was a mess. Had a rash all over my neck and couldn't breathe! Not much fun. Worth it though :)

I don't dye my hair, but I'm really bad at just letting it grow for ages so it looks rubbish. It's so dry at the ends, need it cutting but hate paying loads for a trim.

Shrimpy that's a really random Home & Away memory! Wanna know mine?! I remember Irene having a baby (weirdly along the same lines of yours!) and she was having it stood up and I remember thinking it was really weird! I was a kid mind. :D

NIM got crazy over protective when I was pregnant too Birdie, we nearly came to blows on my birthday when I was about 24 weeks, I wanted the chocolate brownie with orange sorbet for my pudding, then he pointed out it contained cointreau. I asked the waiter who checked and said they used 3 shots in a whole batch which served about 20, given I was out of the first 12 weeks, the NHS say a glass of wine a week is fine etc, I was perfectly comfortable with a small scoop of very mildly alcoholic sorbet, but NIM hit the roof when I said it was fine. I ended up in tears! A lot of hormones obviously but I was just so upset he thought I'd willingly endanger our baby for a bit of ice cream, but I did (and still do) believe there was no risk from that one scoop.

OH's Dad was so pleased and excited with our news when we told them on Saturday that when we went out for dinner he ordered a bottle of champagne to celebrate. I had about 2 mouthfuls in my glass to toast with and OH was getting so worried that it was 'too much'! :o This is the chap who said to me about 3 months ago that he doesn't want me to be a pregnancy bore and is perfectly happy with me drinking the odd glass of wine! :p He also gave me 'a look' when I was thinking about having a dessert as I'd already had my quota of chocolate for the day since we'd had a brownie and milkshake in the afternoon! :p

Loving the odd H&A memories! I didn't really watch it much but I remember Irene being told that she'd bleached her hair so much it was going to fall out?!?! :p

Zig, I'm like you in that I leave my hair for way too long between cuts. :o When I'm feeling too skint/tight to pay for a proper cut and blow dry I ask for a dry cut, it's never cost me more than £13 for a dry trim. :)

Awe hell naw. If OH is like that with me when I'm pregnant I'll politely tell him where to shove it, with the help of a very graphic power point presentation. A little bit of anything is fine - bar shark, but that's just cruel.

Thanks for all the messages of support! It's an odd one in the office today, I'm kind of kind of not being ignored. Will see how my shift goes on Thursday. Luckily our accountant is in updating our software for the year and doing some training with me so I'll be too busy to pay them any mind tomorrow.

Surely you could use directions hair dyes? They're all natural and smell like Plasticine.

Hi Cinny - just caught up and I've missed so much! Good on you for handing in your notice and telling them exactly why too, like Shrimpy I wouldn't have dared! Hopefully now you know there's a light at the end of the tunnel it'll be more bearable and less stressy :grouphug:

There was a pregnant lady running the 10k at the zoo on Sunday - I think she did it faster than me too

It's the nut element, apparently you should avoid nuts when pregnant but that's probably changed again lol. My friend's pregnant at the moment and her OH has stopped her from standing on any chairs/ladders to decorate however she's been decorating while he's not there so that he can't have a go at her. I think all men tend to go overboard when they find out they're going to be Dad's and think they know best, guess it's the Dad gene kicking in :rotfl:.

Cinny well done on being honest as to why you're leaving, it takes guts to do that especially when you're still working out your notice. I'd probably have waited until the last day lol.

Not quite the same but after I had my op last year and was off work, OH tried to ban me from doing anything strenuous. Unfortunately we moved house a few weeks afterwards and he is fairly useless when it comes to DIY so I ended up doing all the packing, lots of the moving and virtually all the sanding and painting! He gave up telling me off fairly quickly as he realised I wasn't going to listen. Weirdly I felt fine at home but as soon as I went back to work (doing very little and sitting down all day) I felt awful and ended up getting signed back off for two more weeks. I'm sure it was the mental stress of the place as I hated being there so much that had a physical effect. Which comes back to the point that you have definitely done the right thing Cinny :)

Even more weirdly, I had to get my first pair of glasses in my old job and needed to wear them all day, but I haven't needed to wear them at all in my new job even though I'm still using a computer all day (and a laptop at that so smaller screen etc).

    Hi Cinny

Just wondering on how everything's going with finishing up your job and that you're finally able to feel less stressy about it.

    Hey Alioops :)

Things are pretty dandy money wise, I will admit things have taken a bit of a back seat as if anything I'm more stressed. There's a lot of gossip going on right now and I'm just so immensely tired. I could have happily just sat at my desk and cried yesterday. Starting to think maybe an over spill of emotions would be the way to go in getting them to shut the hell up about me!! But I need to brush it off and not give them the rise, snide comments, but no real rise ;)

I decided to spend a little money in getting into some hobbies that I've wanted to for a while, lots of happy things to fill my afternoon. I started one yesterday and it's already a great stress reliever! I have my last shift at Job No2 tomorrow and I'm out of there. I just so annoyed and disappointed. I actually felt like I belonged somewhere with them, and on the surface maybe I did, but underneath the whole company is so sneaky and backhanded. I might have arguments with my family, but at least we're up front with each other!

Thanks for wanting to check up on me though! :) Hope you're well too!
