No, on second thoughts, all six of them (as someone said, the invisible six).

I think this forum is very lucky in welcoming a bit of a genius to post such detailed information to it. You’re right: my posts are often long. They are there to be skipped over at first if necessary, but then repay careful reading later on (to everyone’s greater benefit). They may be on a different level to many people, for reasons are totally oblivious to me, but they often reach high levels of sophisticated shopping that others scratch or wish they could strive to. In this way I rather like “suffering” my Asperger syndrome, and being somewhere on the spectrum of highly intelligent ability. The psychological teams have already been and gone and I’m doing extremely well.

I have, to my knowledge, found the glitch in the APG on gift sets that currently gives the best return and I challenge anyone to find a better one and beat me (although it’ll be a bit of cheating if you’re also on the high functioning autism spectrum!). I suspect most people will think this post very brave, but it only comes naturally to me. Thank you and back to savvy shopping soon.

    :T:T

Don't let the bullies get to you :D

Many have taken advantage of the glitch you found altho are more than happy to continue to take snide digs at you...

    Hi all!

Just popping in to say that the Cadburys !!!!!! worked today with the Lindt luxury Swiss collection (gold box) as the trigger - compared against Sainsburys at the usual price.

I messed up the APG a bit again as I bought a tube of Pringles which turned out to be twice the price in Sainsburys so lost £1.25 - d'oh!

I really must learn to stick to the list and not deviate from it!

I did something like that the other week. Was trying to do some clever mixing and matching and picked up the wrong Cadbury Animal's Tube. Ummed and ahhed for about five mins - is it the dinosaur animal pack or not? Well, it's right price and the store doesn't have any other. Wrong. The one I wanted was not stocked. The item I bought wasn't in the competitor's mix-and-match (should have bought two of the other product instead) and buying one came out at a greater price than if I'd bought two, due to some seemingly silly pricing at the competitor which was selling two for less than the price of buying one.

(I know why that is - and, of course, it's due to what was reported an OFT (Office of Fair Trading) study into the pyschological effect of different pricing techniques. When things are on multibuy offer, often people just see the offer yet still pick up only one rather than the number required for the multibuy (and they aren't people cleverly doing price checks vs competitors or, like me, thinking I was being clever - too clever on that occasion...)

Actually, I was very grateful for the question as the newer posts weren't there when I first read the thread. I like the idea of using emergency blankets too and will look on Amazon for them, I think. Is that what you mean by the aluminium thin stuff? I want my blinds and curtains to be washable and look good, so may sacrifice some warmth. On the other hand, I think I will also make some pelmets which I had not realised can contribute to stopping cold air getting into the room.

The aluminium stuff is in rolls you get down the aisle with the normal insultation. Looks like what they had in the roman blind picture that was on the thread .

Not sure how that would wash thought? I picked up some blackout/thermal lining curtains in mothercare for my babies room and just attached them to the back of her curtains but thinking now I could double them up and put the insultation in the middle, sew them together and attach witH little hooks to get flush with window? They where cheap at £10 for the pair which I thought was very cheap for 2 curtains?

Savvy, like you I am also relatively new to this thread. I have a son and a husband with aspergers who like you is profoundly intelligent and I know there are other posters who have commented that they have kids with ASD also this forum is full of pedants, that is why it works so well.

I for one have found your posts informative and amusing at times but only because it is like so many of the conversations I have with my dh and ds. Life in our house closely resembles the big bang theory ( prof on e4).

Anyway welcome and thanks for the time and effort you are putting in x:)

Thank you for all you provide the thread. As another newbie has said, many would be scared off. Don't worry, the haters exist in all walks of life. Keep posting as there are many of us, me included, who really enjoy your detailed responses.

Right, I must get off shopping - catch you all later. :A
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.
