The aluminium stuff is in rolls you get down the aisle with the normal insultation. Looks like what they had in the roman blind picture that was on the thread .

Not sure how that would wash thought? I picked up some blackout/thermal lining curtains in mothercare for my babies room and just attached them to the back of her curtains but thinking now I could double them up and put the insultation in the middle, sew them together and attach witH little hooks to get flush with window? They where cheap at £10 for the pair which I thought was very cheap for 2 curtains?

I'll go and have a look at the aluminium stuff. Thank you.

£10 is good for ready made curtains. Mind you, I find that charity shops are a brilliant source of curtains, especially if you have the patience to wait for what you want. One set of curtains cost me precisely £2 -- I originally bought them for the fabric with the idea of making bags, but they fitted perfectly and were precisely the right colour, One of my better bargains!

Thank you for all you provide the thread. As another newbie has said, many would be scared off. Don't worry, the haters exist in all walks of life. Keep posting as there are many of us, me included, who really enjoy your detailed responses.

Right, I must get off shopping - catch you all later. :A

I can't keep quiet much longer about comments like these:(I'm not posting half as much as normal because I find it really upsetting to hear words bandied around on here like "bullies" and "haters".There are no "bullies" or "haters" on here, they are both ridiculous statements to make. And all comments like these do is cause divides, and more upset on the thread.
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
