I don't think I can stand holiday prawn either! Not sure if we're going away this year or not, and everywhere I want to go is out of our budget! :undecided

I love holiday browsing, imagining myself there for 30 seconds is better than not being there at all.
Grace saw her (and my) favorite consultant today. He told me he is so convinced that it's a misdiagnosis with this fatal lung condition he'd hang up his stethoscope if she ever shows a single sign of her lungs deteriorating. Apparently he's never been more certain of anything in his 31 year career. So I cried on him. For 40 minutes. I feel better today, but no doubt tomorrow the worries will start creeping in again. End result is he gave me his personal mobile number, which he said he's never ever given to any patients families before, and in return he wants a dance with Grace at her wedding. I think I can oblige with that one.
I'm not sure I'm ready to go back to work just yet, far too many tears on almost a daily basis, too much fear, not enough sleep as I'm too worked up. If my boss had replied to a single one of my emails or texts I might feel more guilty about not going back at the agreed time.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Awww GREAT news!!!! :j
But I bet it brings all the fears and emotions to the surface. Don't worry about work - family has to come first. Take care of yourselves, you've been through so much in the last year.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

That's amazing news, Dinah!! So happy for you and NIM, and little Grace of course
I second Lara, don't stress about work right now and enjoy your family!
Cinny, I know something that'll cheer you up http://screenrant.com/game-of-thrones-season-3-premiere-date/
I saw the advert when I was watching House last night! Do you have a way of watching it, or are you still getting up on the books? I'd give you our sky-go, but devices are limited to two and we're already maxed on it! Itching to read the books again, but I don't have the time. Getting my ASoIaF tattoo today though!
Thanks for the tips, DinahIf OH's contract at work comes through we might do a cheapie winter sun deal. But to go to Symi would mean booking and organising everything ourselves, as its a tiny island you can only reach by a choppy, 2 hour ferry ride. Closest we'll get to a holiday this year is taking a week off at the same time and going to Ourgate!

D's parents got us a digital babysitter for Grace this christmas so we be sortedI'm onto the second part of book 5 now.
Getting my ASoIaF tattoo today though!
ASoIaF?
Went to football last night and absolutely knacked my ankle, its worse this morning so I'm hobbling. Didnt notice til I got to work though as her tinyness decided she was going to wake up to see daddy off to work this morning. Babies are both good pain killers and pain causer.
How's everyone doing this morning? This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
I'm only halfway through book 3 (first part) but considering I only started at new year I don't think that's bad going.
Mum called this morning, as she does most mornings, she sounds incredibly miserable. She's doing very long days at the moment (7.30am-10pm) preparing for some visitors to the school, and she's stressed about dad not earning any money (in fairness to him I do think he's trying, just the bloke he's working with hasn't paid him since October) and much more than that she's stressed that dad is spending money they don't have, his car seems to be a money pit atm that I think he'd be better getting shot of than spending £200-£500 every month on just keeping going, he's not spending big amounts, just some almost every day, new cycling gear, a car washer, and mum is just getting worked up that they have more going out than coming in and basically it's just draining the money grandad left her when she'd rather use it for a few big things. I don't know how to help her as I can see why she's miserable as she'd much rather be the one at home than working hugely long hours, but I do think dad is trying to make some money, it's just taking a lot longer than anyone anticipated.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

A Song of Ice and Fire
You're ahead of me! I'm holding off the last book until the next one is 100% out
When I was in Rhodes last summer I kept shuffling off to reception when OH was snoozing to download the next book
Bless Grace! Ryder woke me up because he wanted to go outside for a wee if that's any comparison?!
Decided I'm going to ring up Sky later and push for a promo code. I know it's to get new people on board but it's a bit miffling they give people 50% off plus vouchers, and if you've been a customer for 2 years + like we have it's a case of "ooh, we can give you £5 off your bill!" *rolly-eye smiley*0 -
That's great news Dinah, NIM and Gracie! :j I'm so relieved for you all. I hope that takes some of the pressure off and you can start to concentrate on getting yourself better now. Have you been for counselling yet or are you waiting for an appointment?
I want to see photos of your Pinterest-worthy closet when it's finished Lara!
ETA: sorry about your parents' money woes. It's difficult to step in and say anything or do anything as they're the 'adults' though isn't it?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
