I think NIM is probably most looking forward to being able to read his book in bed - he can't at home as the light wakes up Grace. That and the pretty amazing looking michellin starred restaurant.

We went to a wedding there a couple of years ago and the food was some of the best I've ever had anywhere. And that was mass catering to 100 people! Whenever someone gets engaged I tell them to remortgage their house and get married there so we can go back! :p

Have you thought about a Kindle paperwhite/Nook/cheap 7in tablet with Kindle app etc for NIM so he can read in bed? OH reads on his tablet in bed, he can see it in the dark and it doesn't disturb me if I go to sleep before he does. :)

Impressed to say it looks like I *might* have managed to balance this month's budgets without resorting to borrowing anything off mum. I'm annoyed as I'd definitely have done it and not be on a knife edge about making payments if the ebay buyer who bought our buggy had actually paid for it rather than vanishing off the face of the earth. I'm installing office on the new laptop now in order to see my payday spreadsheet, as it has all the dates the bills come out on there.

Now that is pretty awesome, particularly with the *ahem* car related expenses. I was wondering why we still had 2 big buggy frames in the Nursery.

My woman knows me better than I know myself.
Just a quick stop in and will reply to everyone later. I am looking for a spreadsheet so we can track our income/outgoings and plan better. Can someone send me a link as I can't find it on this site. Ironic really!

CMD, I dont do premades cause I build them myself. I can build you one if you like, drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do for you if you want.

Hi everyone else, Flower I'm delighted for you and INCREDIBLY grateful you are keeping the dress prawns off the thread :D

Now, question of my own, does anyone know a way to reattach the plastic bolt covers to a set of windscreen wiper arms? I snapped mine when I replaced the motor and am trying to come up with something better than polystyrene (sp?) cement.

Perhaps this wonder stuff NIM? Not used it myself but heard good things.

LOVELY treats on the go for you all - very good :)

That's a very sweet way for your OH to propose Flower :j

Shrimpy my computer won't load the pics of your dress right now, grrr. Will have to look it up later.

Hi Zig, there needs to be a *big jealous smiley* to respond to your post. Wish I was there!

Better do some work instead of online shopping for wallpaper :o I'm going to put it in the closet (formerly known as the "junk cupboard"). I want to have a beautiful cupboard like all those lovely blogger and Pinterest-ers!!!

Since I got D her paperwhite for Christmas I've been desperate for one myself. Have a booklight ordered in the meantime, but a kindle would save us a fortune in the long term.

    Hey NIM!

What season are you on Birdie? I finished the Asylum season last week and I'm at a bit of a loss without it. All my tv shows are ending :( They've even taken 2 Broke Girls from me :(

Love the look of those hotels. Having a terribly bratty time getting my head around not having a holiday this year, especially after Rhodes last May. I keep on pricing up 10 days in Greece again. The dream would be 8 days in Symi, with one day either side of the ferry travel in Old Town Rhodes. But lots of sun, clear blue seas and amazing Greek food. Would settle for a little break somewhere though, just to break the year up!

He'd love one, but we don't have a spare £109 at the moment, at least not until I go back to work, and if we're being sensible then not until we've paid off the debt.

Could you not get a nice last minute deal somewhere? You can get some great bargains if you're open on the location, I never pick a hotel from the book then work around that, I pick a budget and do the best I can for the money. Often travelzoo has some amazing deals, and you can always check the area and hotel on tripadvisor before booking.

I don't think I can stand holiday prawn either! Not sure if we're going away this year or not, and everywhere I want to go is out of our budget! :undecided
